Which episode - laughter wins over fear

Hi. Can anybody out there help me identify an episode?

The Enterprise is invaded by a life form that feeds off of fear (or aggression). The crew eventually figures this out and engages in laughter instead, causing the life form to shrink and die (or perhaps leave).

With the late, great Michael Ansara as Kang (he was married to Barbara Eden at the time...*blink!*).

No, because I specifically remembered when they lost him.

I really thought it was Ansara for some reason (Michael, that is)...but if you're referring to the "big 3 TOS Klingons" (Kang, Kor, Koloth) I only rarely mix them up (especially after their DS9 reunion with Dax).

Must have been Colicos I was thinking of. Has to be. (Other significant roles of his include the BSGTOS Baltar and a human/alien hybrid in "War of the Worlds" in the '80s...wasn't he also "married" to Liz Taylor on General Hospital in the early '80s?)

^^^I don't remember if he was married to Taylor's character on the show, but I do remember the arc Colicos was in. Something about freezing the world, or something to do with ice. I think that storyline was written by Carey "Space Seed" Wilber if memory serves.

Sir Rhosis

IIRC (and at the moment I'm too lazy to consult iMDB for confirmation), Colicos played Nikolas Cassadine.

God, it's crazy the things you remember sometimes (or, as I did upthread, MISremember as the case may be).

I think I'd already left GH for the 30minute The Edge of Night by the time that whole thing wrapped up. Side note: A young Kate Capshaw played "Jinx" on that show. :D

I should reiterate from upthread that Mr. Ansara is perfectly on-time and not late at all, which was my error. But he was, indeed, married to Ms. Eden and they do have a child together. :)

And I should clarify that I was talking about being married to Barbara Eden when I said he was a lucky fellow.

BobMayo56 might also be referring to "Wolf in the Fold," where the Redjac entity is defeated in basically the same manner (but with the assistance of medication). :techman:
