OMG OMG OMG, now i'm spoilt for choice. I've just discovered the Suzuki Splash. :alienblush:

Come on now. You were lecturing me (us) on how economics work when you stated that the British Government should be using a British Company, that uses British workers, to build the rail system. Therefore, *you* should be purchasing an automobile from a British automaker that uses British workers.

Practice what you preach.

OMG OMG OMG, I've just discovered the NEW Ford KA. The old version sucks and is proper girly and I never even knew they'd brought a new style out and I LOVE the new style. Check it out! :D

Of course purple is out of the question because although the style is no longer girly that colour is, or is it? hmmmmmm

Of course purple is out of the question, I'll want Black!

You don't want black. It shows dings and dirt. Purple, aside from being my favourite colour ;) is the colour of royalty.

Yeh I edited my post about the black, I do like the purple, but I was contemplating whether it's girly or not.

Having driven both on rally's, I would if limited to those choices choose the Citroen

I'd say go for a funky green Ford Ka then. I'm not a huge fan of Ford, but they have gotten they're styling together in the European market, and I guess there's not too much to break on the Ka.

The C1 looks better imo, but if you're looking for a really small/cheap car there are better options imo. I would buy a Smart or the Fiat500.

My advice? Don't buy a French car.

Seconded. You won't have a clue what it's saying and it'll likely be rather obnoxious.
Actually, these cars are made in co-opearation with Toyota, so i think the quality should not be a problem:

My gf is planning to buy C1, so I would recommed Citroen. It looks better from the rear than the 107 and i think you have also more choice with the engine also. Make sure u get the newest model:

What I think is hilarious is how when the 'new' (ie, now old) fiesta design debuted in the second half of 2002, all the car mags were falling over each other to call it 'frumpy', 'ugly', etc. etc.
Now, bascially every 'supermini' town car you've linked in here has copied it. @ fashions.

Word of warning - we don't have 'image sigs' for a reason here - faking one yourself won't go down well.

Smart cars are generally only two seaters which I don't want and infact I think they stopped making cars with more than 2 seats but they were ugly anyway. Thanks for the heads up on the Fiat500, it looks pretty sweet. I've also discovered the Renault Twingo!

I can't decide on what car to get, my choices so far are:

Renault Twingo.
Fiat 500
VW Fox
Ford KA
Suzuki Splash

I've be going to all the main websites and custom building them myself and to be honest with the VW Fox I seem to get more 'features' for my money and not only that, the other makes only go as high as a 1.2 whereas with the Fox you can get a 1.4, the Fiat allows 1.4 also.

With the Fiat500 it appears you can get the cars paintjob custom made to your desires, which is pretty awesome but it's incredibly more expensive.

I don't think you all get what i'm saying here.

Both those cars are completely the same barring the citroen/peugeot badges. There's no difference to the cars at all. ;)

Citroen C1

Peugeot 107

So on what basis does one choose which is best?

On a side note, since posting this thread i've actually taken a fancy to the VW Fox.

Except that they both look REALLY LAME. I'd never buy a car like that.

I've decided on the Fox, check out this section here. The Fox has everything one could possibly wish for in a little car like this. I especially like how much space there seems to be and how the back seats are two separate seats with drink holders between them, I also like the fact you can adjust the drivers seat and steering column, I like the connections which allow to plug in a baby seat for added safety, it adjusts the power steering automatically depending on what speed you're travelling at and if you need more boot space the back seats fold down more effectively than most other cars. All this for just £8000, then you can just put a few added extras on which don't cost too much such as alloy wheels, side airbags, an alarm, fog lights and sunroof.

Even though it's not as visually appealing as the other options I still like how it looks and it seems to have more for a heck of a lot cheaper.

If you go HERE and look at the Urban Fox one it tells you exactly what it has.

I'd go for the Ka car. It's cool and British! There's not much difference between a 1.2 and a 1.4 really, and don't you get cheaper car tax and insurance with a smaller one?
I prefer the Ka's backside to the others - well I have to give a girly reason:) just don't make it your's if you do go that way...

Going back to the OP, the Citroen is off course a badge engineered car, but it somehow costs a few hundred less. And yes, it does look a little better too.

That's because you're American. What we look for in cars diverges to almost polar opposites after "has wheels".
