Kirk is too much of a womanizer, Picard is intellectual but somewhat boring, and Janeway is stuck in the past. So Sisko it is.

Oh come now, how can you be TOO MUCH of a womanizer? Just not possible.

And that is why Kirk edged out Picard. I would enjoy a Dixon Hill adventure too, but Kirk would round up some hot Yeomans and put in a sim if Risa.

Fair Haven looks like a cool place. I could have some fun drinking with the townsfolk.

A baseball game with Sisko though? No thanks.

Actually, when I really think about it, Archer would probably be the captain who would want to have a beer and would snicker at dirty jokes. Although we've seen what happens when we have a president we can have a beer with (ahem), I hope the results are better when its a Starfleet captain.

Well, according to the Okudagram in In a Mirror, Darkly Archer went on to become a president (of the UFP) you can have a beer with, too. I wonder how that turned out... ;)

I think Kirk would have the most creative programs so I voted for him.
I liked Janeway's programs, especially Fair Haven
I love Picard, but I don't think he knew how to make the holodeck a vacation. At least I would learn a lot.
Archer would either be a boom or a bust.
Sisko - I loved Vic's, he didn't - he is the most boring of all the captains to me

Yeah, but Sisko is the only one of them who is a parent. Sisko didn't have time to run a station and raise a son AND be interesting with cool hobbies.

If you said "Which Captain would you have liked to have hung out with in the Holodeck during his Academy days"... Well... I think Sisko would be the most fun (without getting you killed) hands down.

Kirk-- You'd hang around for five minutes as he tells you the first half of a really cool adventure story. Then he'd see a cute ensign, and you wouldn't see him again until the next morning.

Picard-- He'd sit around in his quarters for 4 hours lecturing you on his opinions of Dr. Snewzenboor's latest 5,000 page treatsie on twelfth dynasty Firoonian tapestries from the late Groktron period of Smeega II's northern Loompa tribes. Then he'd stare at you like you're a dribbling philistine when you admit you don't know or care what the hell he's gibbering about.

Sisko-- He'd take you to watch a great baseball game in the holosuite, then to listen to Vic croon some old classics.

Janeway-- Fair Haven. 'Nuff said.

Archer-- He'd cram you into his quarters to watch water polo on a tiny screen. You'd miss most of the game as he whined about how the Vulcans don't approve of his whining.

I think, the only sane choice is clear.

I'd have to go with Archer. Kirk would be fun to ride shotgun at a bar with, but I wouldn't find him interesting in a conversation. Picard is far too...stiff for my enjoyment. He's too formal, and it would make it uncomfortable the entire time. Sisko, again, is too serious. His passion overrides his ability to relax and have fun. Unless I could get into Janeway's pants, she'd be boring as a box of nails. But, Archer seems like a cool guy. He'd just hang with you, have a drink and a laugh... :techman:

Janeway and Picard only want to visit the past. Sisko would have me sitting at a baseball game. Kirk would pull up a Risa program with two beautiful women, then try to take them both. Archer would create a nightclub setting, then get in a fight and take a beating.

Given those choices I choose to watch Archer get beat up.

I am not much of a drinker and not even a little bit of a womanizer, what with being a heterosexual female and all. On the other hand, I love Shakespeare and hard-boiled detective stories, so I voted Picard. Sisko would be fun, too, and so would Janeway.

Kirk and Archer? Not so much.

How about going on a trip to Vic's with Picard and Sisko?
Intelligent conversation and someone who appreciates the music.
(I'm only judging this solely on the personalities of the Captains involved since I don't find any of them attractive to be honest.)

That makes me wonder if the holo-smoke in Vic's is a holographic illusion, or if the holographic people smoke replicated cigarettes. For example, if you wanted to bum a smoke from somebody, would the program let you? Or would the ciggs just be fake and the person be rude to you and tell you to scram?

Presumably it depends on the holo-person that you ask, remember these guys THINK that they are real people so some might let you have a ciggy and others would tell you to nafe off.
However the cigarettes in question are holographic and would therefor lack the potency and negative side effects of a real cigarette so there would be no harm to you but you might not enjoy it as much.;)

Also I might go for one of Janeway's Irish Holograms if it's set in a pub in either 20 century or early 21st century Ireland (although the 19th century would be okay) obviously it would be with chief O'Brien,Doctor Bashir and Ben Sisko with JLP thrown in as well.

Might not enjoy it as much smoking an actual dried weed that has been cured, shredded, treated and stuffed into a paper tube? [scarcasm]Oh, that would be a shame![/sarcasm] ;)

But actually, now that I've started to think about it, would holosmoke also smell like cigarette smoke? And if so, would it leave your clothes and hair smelling like cigarette smoke, like the real thing does? Or would it smell like that only while you were in the holodeck and then disappear once you left?

I am thinking far too deeply about this, I realize.
