Amongst ASBAR and All Star Superman - if you are going to purchase it, you should definitely go with All Star Superman.
ASBAR (All Star Batman and Robin) is just plain all kinds of weird bad. It's the classic definition of "it's so bad, that it's good". For people who will curse me out for suggesting that ASBAR can be any sort of good - I give you Tales of the Longbox article 1, article 2 and article 3 on Frank Miller's weird weird world.
Having said all that. I really don't get the love for All Star Superman. It's ok. I liked Superman for all seasons much more. But I guess different people like different things.
