Where would you serve??

Captain
If you could serve at any post, on any Trek Ship, Star-Base or Space Station. Which would you serve and why.

I would choose Astrometrics on Voyager, I have always loved maps, and astronomy, so astrometrics would be a natural for me, and as an added benefit I would get to work with Seven :)

What, where and why would you choose to serve??

Resistance is Futile

I'm qualified in psychology and have a security license.. and I'm lazy. One of those jobs on Deep Space Nine as no one seems to do any work there. Ideal.

Weird, I thought I already answered this... argh

Anyhooo, if I was in SF, I'd serve on the Defiant, with its mad weapons and cloak, I'd be slightly less likely to blow up, plus I'd be near the GQ. It doesn't seem as formal, as other ships, and even though it gets to explore, I'd probably get to hang out on the station with my own home, and go shopping... LOL!

Non-SF, I'd be in the Dominion, probably one of those new ships like in "The Valient." B^)

Captain of a civilian Earth Cargo Service freighter, that's the life for me.

I'm just not cut out for military discipline, so Starfleet (even in ENT's time) is out. I am definitely not a risk taker. Give me a good, solid, regular trade route to follow, where I know exactly what my responsibilities are, and there's minimal chance of being killed, and I'm happy.

Enterprise NX-01; engineering section; under Commander Charles Tucker III (literally as well as figuratively ).

What about Promenade merchant?

That's one I've thought about, if I had to take a realistic place in the Trekiverse.

I did answer the previous thread, but to put a slightly different answer, if I had to choose a particular Trek cast, it would be TNG. I'd love to serve as helmsman. Driving that huge ship would be cool.
Although, in my own mind, I see myself on some other starship. Perhaps an Intrepid or Ambassador class or something.

On the Enterprise D/E - as that is where all the action is at. It's the best ship with the best crew. I'd work in engineering so I'd get to work with Geordi and Barclay.

No, I think I would want to be on a ship. Just not a Starfleet one.

I'd like to be on DS9, and would probably spend all my time at Quark's playing dabo and drinking Romulan ale (if he has a stash).

I'd love to live on DS9 and have my own shop and my own little spaceship so I can go off to other planets on vacation. My ship would be state of the art of course and have powerful weapons so I can escape any enemies and it would be capable of warp 9.9. ;)

Well the Dilithium would be just your usual kind, not the special Delta Quadrant variety. ;)

I'd probably be that guy from "Good Shepherd" who worked as far away from the rest of the crew as possible in the bowels of the ship.
