Agreed. Carol and Kirk didn't seem to like each other AT ALL in STID. I highly doubt there'll be a Kelvinverse version of David.

ST09 Spock hates Kirks guts, STB less than one year late, Spock crys over lover boy Kirk. So anything can happen with Kirk/Marcus, they have five years to get it on.

Maybe she got killed on an away mission (maybe the salt vampire or deadly years or cloud killer) shortly after STID. And there was no reason (& kirk didn't know her that well) to bring it up 3 years on

She disappeared after the Family court ruled she no right to deny Kirk access to his son.
I found what Prime Marcus did objectionable, Kirk's words of 'I did what you want, I stayed away'...utter selfishness on her part, no child should be denied access to the other parent unless abuse is involved
