DS9 is good stuff, but it's a commitment. It's not as episodic as some of the other series, so if you catch an episode out of order, it can be hard to figure out what's going on. That's not a bad thing at all, IMO, but you pretty much have to watch ALL of DS9 to really appreciate it for what it is. It's a serial, no two ways about it.
Voyager gets bashed like crazy around here, but it's my favorite of the Treks. Yes, it had some major flaws and a ton of missed opportunities, but the characters are much more interesting and relatable than TNG's and the writing was occasionally brilliant (it was occasionally craptastic, too). You do have to get used to the infamous reset button, but that's what makes it an easy show to watch, too -- rare is the episode that requires you to have seen what came before to "get it."
I haven't seen much of ENT. If you like it, no reason not to just continue with that, IMO.
(But then again, I enjoy TOS despite the cheesy effects and 60s acting. So YMMV on all of this.)

Skip DS9 and Voyager and go to Star Trek: Enterprise. The setting is at least a little different.
Sure doesn't sound like it.
Which would be a compelling reason to watch if the first half of the show wasn't regurgitated TNG with few exceptions. Even that aside, following TNG with ENT seems bizarre to me, especially if one likes the world shown in TNG and wants more of it.
The perplexing thing is how one could characterize TOS as having "terrible acting and uninteresting plots," yet consider ENT season 1 to be "ok to good." That is not a world I'd want to live in.
I understand some people's issue with TOS. There are many episodes I just do not watch. For me the ones to watch are:

If Voyager is your favorite, you should love Enterprise. It's first two season were nothing but Voyager knock-offs. Of the two, Voyager is the better show.
Huh? How can DS9 not have the most unique setting for the shows?
If you don't like TOS then I recommend you abandon the ST franchise and try for something else entirely.

These are the kinds of attitudes that kept me the hell away from TOS for a very long time.

I just have a hard time understanding how a Star Trek fan can eschew that which started the whole thing. Then again, some people like Voyager and think that it's a quality TV show. I can handle TNG and DS9, but I draw the line at Voyager.

I too am not a fan of TOS. The 60's acting and production just take me out of the moment and ruins what are surely great stories. Unfortunately I just can't suspend those feelings long enough to watch it. I did like their movies however.
Like you, I watched all of TNG for the first time last year. From there I decided to follow it chronologically. I watched all of DS9 and I loved it. It's different from TNG in that it takes place on a space station obviously, but there are other differences as well. Roddenberry had forbidden certain topics from being mentioned in earlier Trek series such as religion, crew members fighting with one another, etc. After his passing some of the prohibitions were lifted as evidenced by the fact that lots of DS9 episodes "go there." Overall I found it to be an excellent series, and one which could have easily had another season or two left in it. This was the first series in the franchise that really started to have recurring themes where every episode wasn't an encapsulated one-hour story and you had to watch the episodes in order to keep track of what was going on. I recommend it very highly and I doubt I'm in the minority when I say it's sad that this crew never got a big screen opportunity because a DS9 movie would have been excellent.
Once I ran through the DS9 episodes I picked up Voyager. While I will admit that I didn't think this series was as good as TNG and DS9, I still enjoyed it quite a bit. I didn't feel like the characters were developed as deeply as they were in the other series'. The concept is again different with this crew being stranded far from home and trying to make their way back to Earth throughout the series. It feels a bit like watching Gilligain's Island at times, since they're constantly finding potential ways to make it back home that end up not working out. I'd say the downside here is that some of the new alien races they decided to introduce weren't all that interesting but they did they best they could. All of the well known alpha quadrant alien species make an appearance or two throughout the seasons but it doesn't feel all that Trek-ish to not have them around very much. Most of the episodes seem to focus on Captain Janeway, Seven, and the doctor especially in the later seasons. As a result we sort of "lose touch" with the rest of the crew which is a little bit frustrating. Although I've really been pointing out the negatives more than anything I did really enjoy watching this series and it's another one that I didn't want to come to an end because I got really attached to the characters.
Enterprise is very different from the other series'. I liked it, but some of the episodes around season two were a little bit dry. This one only ran for four seasons but I wish it had gone on for a few more. I'd suggest watching this one last just because it may give you a more thorough appreciation of some of the things for which this series lays the groundwork.

I'm right there with you. I'm 23 right now, and I far prefer TOS to TNG, VGR, or ENT. I'm currently watching the entirety of DS9 for the first time, and so far I'd rank it right after TOS.
