Can you image what would happen if the people say at TrekBBS had the ability to change stuff in movies and TV shows? I have no idea how it could be implemented, but the result would be a) far worse than the garbage on TV and in theaters now; 2) total chaos; and 3) extremely fun.but eventually it'll be interactive movies and shows.
I guess I'm enough of a cynic that I can readily imagine human hookers being cheaper than the expense of whatever technology replaces them. How expensive is a crack ho, anyway? If the value of their services decreases, their price decreases accordingly. It's not like they've got a lot of options. I'll bet the pricey VR tech will be put to more esoteric uses, stuff that you couldn't obtain from any human hooker. Tentacles perhaps?Think of how it could revitalize the porn industry.
