Where Do You Buy Your Clothes?

The one thing I don't like about Ross (at least the one here) is that you never know what they'll have in stock. Now that's great if you like to shop, but I tend to be a buyer and not a shopper.

For dress shirts I go to Joseph A. Bank, pretty much everything else I get at Kohl's. I rarely wear suits, so when I have to buy one, it's usually Macy's or Lord and Taylor.

Macy's and JC Penneys for most things. Target for Tees and other stuff. Shoes I get from Payless

I love shopping at thrift stores, but the thrift stores around here are ridiculous. The other day I was browsing and I saw a nice shirt that fit me (2x. I like extra room). Price? $5. Price if I bought it new in a store? $8. Sure that's $3, but it's just not right.

That's pretty dumb. Thrift store shirts should cost $2 max.

The thrift stores around here are kind of expensive, too, so I've stopped trying. I'd rather just get new clothes.

Pretty much. Of course, everything they have other than clothes is high too. They had a dinnerware set for $10. It didn't even have a box. That same dinnerware set was available at Target for, yep, $10. They have no concept of thrift here.

I have jeans going on 12 years old now, though they are pretty much reserved for "will work for food anti-salesman shopping." I hate shopping for clothes. Like, really, really, REALLY hate it.

The Bay, Henry Singer, O'Connors, Eddie Bauer, Hilfiger Store, Levis store... That is pretty much it.

The Bay used to be great, I could get everything in one stop. Either my tastes have changed, or they've begun to carry a lot of crap--whatever the case, I barely buy anything there anymore.

I buy all my clothes in Japan. Everyone there is built like me: skinny with no ass.

I loved some of the wacky fashions I saw in Tokyo. I think I've picked up some EGA or at least Victorian traits in my own style from there. :D

They've all figured out that people trawl thrifts to find items to flip for profit on eBay, so prices have risen accordingly.

I'm an Old Navy girl. My whole wardrobe is from them

Undies and such are La Senza.

That's about it. I stick with what I know and what I can afford :techman:

Sadly, their styles range from chic to execrable, and I never know which it's going to be when I go over. Sometimes I just come back with underwear and socks :)

Soma is my favorite place for undies now. They're attached to Chico's, which I think has god-awful clothes for the most part, but Soma has the greatest undies!
