Where are the other people from the original crash?

We don't know, what we do know is that they traveled in time with Saywer and his group. However, in the DI Saywer said they were searching for their other people and so far had found nothing. This means they could either all be dead, or they could all have been taken by the Hostels.

I'm sure we'll get a Rose and Bernard centric episode soon showing what they've been doing for three years. I gotta figure they're a) living with the Natives or b) living Rosseau-style in the middle of nowhere. I really doubt they're dead! If so they could be Adam and Eve though. ... As for the other survivors, Lostpedia did the math and apparently after the fire arrow attack there could only be up to TWO redshirt survivors at this point. Yikes!

They continued to bounce around through time, eventually we'll get their story where we learn they died in the distant past, together in a cave...

I could buy seeing Rose and Bernard being "Adam and Eve" as for all of the "Red Shirts" no idea but I think it is likely that all of them -or atleast the vast majority of them- are dead.

Sawyer gave an odd look when they were brought up. Does this mean something bad or that he doesn't know?

I think we're going to get an amazing episode chronicling what happened with Rose & Bernard (at least I hope so). I also think it's about time they went over what happened with the dozen or so survivors that were kidnapped by the Others way back when.

And what they were/are doing with the kids. Where was Walt when he was on the computer (if it even was him)? And what did Cindy mean when she told Jack that they (Herself, the children and other adults) were "here to watch" when Jack was locked up in the cage in Season 3.

I actually just saw that episode when channel-flipping today. At the time I took it to mean that as part of their indoctrination into the Others, they were watching the captives in their cages acting like savages, to show how civilized and wonderful the Others are. As for what they're doing with the kids, we already know. Any baby conceived on the Island dies. So in order for their civilization to continue, since only Richard is immortal it seems, they need to abduct children and raise them as the next generation of their society. After a proper brainwashing in Room 23 of course!

Walt was in Room 23. They made it pretty clear during the mobisode what happened.
