Where are all the "behind the scenes" articles?

Normally with a Trek film, we get concept sketches, costume sketches, set pics, etc all over the place.

Not this time though...the security is tighter than even Lucas' on the SW prequels...

What gives? They aren't telling/showing us s**t!

Well, they have shared casting decisions as they're finalized, but I think Abrams' strategy, insofar as he's even considered "us," is to let us whip ourselves into a frenzy and create a viral advertising campaign for him with our burgeoning but unsteered enthusiasm and rampant speculation. He's trying to create something new using some very old Legos, and he doesn't want to give away the final shape of it until the last minute.

That said, I'm sure as filming progresses we'll get the odd bits and bites (or bytes) if only to keep our appetites whetted.

The experiments of one Dr. Pavlov spring to mind.

It's how JJ works. Alias, Lost, MI3 and even his unnamed project, all done pretty hush hush. I'm sure we'll see some things as it moves along but that'll be from Paramount I think, JJ prefers to have you go in fresh not knowing anything.

They haven't done a movie that essentially starts new until now. It's a golden opprotunity to yank our chains.

And if there's anything Paramount likes more than doing a movie to make money off of us, it's making us look like douchebags in the process ;)

I for one am glad the production is so secretive so far.
This leaves more room for us fans to speculate and breath new life in our interest in Star Trek. :)

You're spoiled by the modern internet/youtube, etc. ST movies almost NEVER had behind the scenes info this early. Even with the latter STNG movies, we rarely got info a whole year ahead of the opening date, aside from some script leaks. The spy photos posted just today are totally unprecedented for a ST movie. The net "spy photo" phenomenon is an outgrowth of the bizarre paparazzi explosion of the last few years, and started well after Nemesis was made.
