Where and when: Outside US and Canada

As per their Twitter page, "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Latin America, Australia and the Nordics. The series will air on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel and stream on Crave in Canada with additional international availability to be announced at a later date."

So basically, yeah. Most people are about to get screwed.

At this rate I'll get DC Universe Infinite before I watch SNW or Discovery season 4 :D

Thirty years ago, you couldn't see this stuff in most of the world for a quite a while, and the shows still had bigger total audiences than they do today.

I have no idea why Paramount seems to think "ah the international fanbase will wait patiently for this just like they did decades ago when it was up to us to decide when and where and how people were getting to watch our shows". The angry replies to every single Strange New Worlds tweet the official Trek account is getting should be SOME indicator of how riled up the international fanbase is by now, but, alas...

As a UK viewer, I’m getting concerned. If SNW were to stream on Amazon or Netflix internationally I’m pretty sure it would have been announced by now. The very least they can do is put it upon on iTunes as they did with DSC S4.

I thought I'd read somewhere that in the UK, Paramount+ would be available as/in a Sky package? Although, it was ages ago that I read it, and it may have been a deal Paramount and Sky were working on that didn't work out? I hope something is sorted out soon for the UK, as I'm really, really looking forward to SNW!

Not before the summer - https://www.empireonline.com/tv/news/paramount-plus-to-launch-in-the-uk/ - which could mean after season 1 has finished. Prodigy is premiering on Nickolodeon as a result...

Gah, i remember hearing about that now. That won’t work for me as I don’t want and can’t afford Sky. Sad times.

You will still be able to subscribe to it independently. the Sky package is just to save money if you already have Sky.
Yes, it's like how you can tie in Netflix or Disney+ to your subscription. The press releases have said that you will still be able to subscribe as a standalone thing.

From the Canadian side of this, yeah, this isn't fair to you. I'm grateful to get a guaranteed on-cable date on CTV Sci-Fi to watch it all, AND I think non-Turtle Island fans are not getting a fair deal.

Because for the most part, they do - sufficiently to make it worth Paramount's while to prioritize their larger business concerns with respect to running the service.

Still hoping they do what they did with Disco season 4 and have the episodes available to buy via Amazon Prime.

I wonder if it'll be possible to access via Now tv? Still Murdoch owned but at least you'd only have to sign up for a couple of months?

We’ll see what happens. The international roll out of Trek has become a complete shambles. Until something is sorted, I’m just grateful to the Gods, Prophets, the Q Continuum and Metrons for VPNs.

I am so thrilled for this new series and from what one can already see, it seems that they did a great job with it.

And then, looking at the distribution department of ViacomCBS and seeing how they totally f*** up again the forth time in a row (no international distribution at start for LD and PRO, killing the international contract for DIS one day before the start of season 4 and now again messing up SNW distribution). It's just a total disappointment.

Well, international audience, see you in 6 months or so when the series premieres in some of your countries.

Live long and prosper,
Norad

PS: Seems that ViacomCBS has recently renamed itself to Paramount Global - what a bad joke to call themselves "Global" and then messing up their global distribution so badly.
