When will you see the next Star Trek movie?

When will you be going to see the next Star Trek movie? The first midnight showing (if there is one), the opening weekend, while it's still in the theaters, only upon the release of the DVD, when it hits basic cable? Not going to bother?

Personal, I'll be waiting until the mid week after the opening, go see a afternoon matinee when the theaters aren't crowded. I'll sometimes go to a movie's opening weekend if I'm really excited, but this is the first Star Trek movie I can say doesn't excite me (based on the last one), But I do want to see it while it's in the theaters.

Opening week, hopefully. Although I've been known to wait until Monday just to avoid the weekend crowds. (One of the perks of being a freelancer.)

I think I've seen every single Trek movie the week it opened, except for that one time I got into an advance screening of GENERATIONS.

First screening, if possible. That way I can freely read the review and subject threads right from the get-go, not get too far behind for avoiding spoilers. Watching the rabid fan-persons spin off the rails is half of the fun.

Athough that can be a dangerous time sink. As I recall, I wasted a whole weekend last time around, debating the pros and cons of the reboot!

If I were still single, first showing (midnight or whenever)--it's what I used to do all the time for movies I really wanted to see. Being the father of two kids, neither of which are old enough for the Trek films, it'll probably take me a week or two to find a free moment to catch it at the cinema (same story for the last one).

I'll try to see it opening weekend. I'm not going to a midnight showing, but I'll try to see it as early as possible. I'd like to see the showing at noon on Friday, but depending on my work schedule it's possible I won't get around to seeing it until Monday or Tuesday.
