When will we see a full trailer??

What's the release date on that film?

The premier of Star Trek: New Voyages "To Serve All My Days: A Night in 1969" is on March 29, 2008.

So we could get a new Trek 11 trailer in about two weeks. I am so excited about this movie, can't wait.

On James Cawley's New Voyages/Phase II website, he posted an announcement in the forums that said he will show a trailer with TSAMD: 1969, in conjunction with J.J. Abrams and Paramount.



Cawley's announcement as posted on the Phase II Forum is as follows:

"Just a quick F.Y.I. that for those of you lucky enough to attend the premiere of TSAMD 1969, Working in co-operation with J.J. Abrams and Paramount Pictures, We will be screening the TRAILER for STAR TREK 11 AND giving out Posters to over 100 lucky attendees!!!!!​

My Sincere Thanks to both J.J. , and Paramount for all their Help and Support!​

When asked by another poster on the forum if this is a new trailer or just a re-screening of the existing teaser, one of the forums moderators replied with this:

"This is a full trailer provided by Paramount. And an exclusive one at that. ​

Trust James!"​

I personally don't know what to make of this, but Cawley's website seems to be saying it will be a full trailer that hasn't been seen yet. I can't see Paramount putting too much effort into a trailer being released exclusively with a fan film. I suppose we shall find out.

I'm gonna be attending the March 29th screening of TSaMD; I'll try to post any news on the trailer afterwards. I hope it's got some good shots from the movie ala Singer's 5 minute trailer for SR that he showed at SD Comic Con a year before the movie came out.

Seeing a full trailer would be surprising at a fan film premiere. I'm skeptical, but I also see no reason why Cawley and his team would lie. We'll see.

^^ I'm not saying that James Cawley is lying, per se, but maybe just exaggerating (to paraphrase Spock) -- although if he is exaggerating, I don't think he's doing it with malicious intent.

What I mean by that is perhaps what he is calling a "Full Trailer" isn't exactly what we would call a full trailer, but a re-packaged teaser with some additional shots. Although for the life of me, I can't think what else Paramount could be giving him if it's not all-new footage.

Or, perhaps, Cawley will actually be showing a bona fide "full trailer" for ST:XI with TSAMD in two weeks, and surprise us all.

This should be interesting.

Well, James has been friendly with Abrams, so it is possible that he's gotten some exclusive material for him. We'll just have to wait and see.

I really hope they'll be allowed to share those exclusive scenes with the rest of us who are not fortunate enough to be attending. If not I'll have to live vicariously through detailed descriptions. Those of you attending better take good notes! We're depending on you!

Yeah, absolutely right and he will actually appear in the new Star Trek movie.

I think we'll get another "teaser", or possibly a short trailer, in late spring/summer. Perhaps this is what James Cawley is referring to. Something short, vague, but with a tiny bit of actual footage from the film. Since the release date has been pushed back by so much, it's the least Paramount can do. The full trailer (2 min+ with all new footage from the film) probably won't come out until near the end of the year.

A trailer tailored for fans with a few short shots of the crew, perhaps even a partial shot of the Enterprise in motion... I can imagine. But a full blown theatrical trailer over a year out? Nah.

the trailer being shown tonight is the same trailer. I have talked to james about this not sure what that post on the forum is all about but he never said it was a dif trailer
