When Will the Novels Catch Up the Events Preceding the Reboot?

Memory Beta notes, and I agree, that the Furies could possibly be the aliens who posed as gods to the early Klingons. Unfortunately, the VOY relaunch with the Kuvah'magh storyline makes no reference to this.

To most Alpha and Beta quadrants right? The Furies were like one of the ancient powers in the two quadrants, deposed by their subjects after uniting?

Ironic how it matches the Iconians of STO :p

^Not exactly. The Furies influenced many species in local space, including inspiring the concept of the Devil in many human cultures, so the Furies' disappearance from local space would have to have been at a point when humans had a historical record. The Iconians disappeared roughly 200,000 years before the present and before modern humans came about. I believe that canon ascribes the "demons of air and darkness" story to non-human species, who may or may not have developed spaceflight but had to have developed a historical record.
