When to Watch Living Witness?

Please no spoilers.

So I started out with TNG, Generations, First Contact, DS9 and stopped somewhere in seasons 5 or 6, then went back and watched TOS and most movies, Enterprise, Discovery 1 and 2, picked up the episodes I missed of DS9 and started Voyager, and am now in Voyager season 4 and DS9 season 6. I understand that the episode "Living Witness" takes place far in the future as I've been using a chronological guide since I started watching Enterprise. What would be most interesting/enjoyable,
  • Do I watch it now?
  • Should I skip it and watch the rest of DS9/Voyager, then Picard season 1, and then Living Witness? Might be interesting to come back to the voyager crew after doing maybe Nemesis and Picard?

I'd say watch it now; you can always watch it again between Picard and Discovery season 3 if you like. I've made a watchlist of Star Trek in the event I ever become independently wealthy enough to take a few months to binge one franchise, and I put several time travel/flashback episodes in twice.

Pretty much what @Oddish and @dupersuper said. Just know the basics of the characters and show's premise and that's that. You needn't even watch the premiere of VOY at all. Or many (or any?) VOY episode prior to this one, this one's a pretty good one for those new to the spinoff, or even franchise as a whole.

That said, while there are a couple of developments prior to this episode, they won't hamper the understanding of it.

I might say to watch a couple episodes first, to get a better take on the characters' mannerisms and motivations as LW has just enough character-centric drama.

Then again, I wasn't VOY's most devout follower at the time, and this episode impressed the heck out of me.

If you're going for a pure chronological watch-through, I'd say skip it then. It won't hurt to "miss" the episode, and it might be fun to see the Voyager crew again after a long break. The episode does take place in the far future, so it might help the feel of the episode to see it after you already know the fates (kinda) of Voyager and the Federation in the long, long ago.
