When O'Brien transfers to DS9...

i dont know what month ds9 season 1 started vs tng season 6
but how is obrien still on the enterprise all the way through episode 6x07 rascals

is 6x08 around the time ds9 premiered?

i am currently in process of re watching all star trek (started with tos, tos movies, tng)
i'm almost done with season 5, and i'm gonna delay the start of ds9 until after 6x07 because obrien is still there

why was he in season 6 at all?
did ds9 season 1 premiere later in the year?

Emissary premiered on 3rd January 1993, and began on Stardate 46388.2.

TNG aired Chain of Command Part 2 on 21st December 1992 (Stardate 46360.8) and then Ship in a Bottle on 25th January 1993 (Stardate 46424.1). So O'Brien left the ship between those two episodes.

dHunter333, I suggest you take look at this list for a rough guide to watching Trek chronologically.

Piper is right, you're supposed to watch Emissary right after TNG's Chain of Command.

Picard seems very fragile and exhausted in "Emissary", I wonder if this is because of the recent events in "Chain Of Command". Would be a nice continuity touch, but I'm not sure if this had been done intentionally.
