When are we ever going to see a Supergirl flick?

Well Michael Turners been dead for a while now so we don't have to worry about him making any more 14 year olds look like play boy sex kittens no more.

It's ink on paper, surely if he can draw emotion out of us good or bad, because of some scribbling that means that he is more than doing his job, which in this case was to lull us into a fake sense of thrill while reading a hack writer plod on about titsplosions. Loeb can be good, but lately, the last half decade, he's been writing with the Kitchen sink approach, that by including 12 guest stars and 9 established fanfavourite villains in every issue it's as if he's padding his work with fluff, giving us what we think we want instead of giving us what we don't know what we want.

I've seen the art in the original Superman/Batman comic and it's about equally ridiculous-looking. And tastes differ, but the way Turner drew women is simply disturbing to me, and not in a good way.
Why is that?

Turner was second only to Liefeld in hackdom. His compositions were good, but his knowledge of anatomy was atrocious.
See, e.g., http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/justiceleague-10.jpg

^ Wow. That is bad. Not as bad as Liefeld's tiny Cable heads or gigantic Captain America man-boobs, but pretty damn bad.

Emma Watson, for instance.
Emma Watson for Mary Marvel.

I'd just like to say that as a 49-year-old man, I feel kinda creepy for... well, you know. She's so YOUNG. But cute. Sexy cute. And hawt. And.... and....

Okay, I'm back. ;)

Emma Watson is in her early 20's-stop being a silly boy.

Also, still the same problem; she's too old to play Mary Marvel.

I'd suggest the young lady who plays Bella in those Twilight movies.

I was going to say "hopefully never", but then I read Kristen Bell's name, which made me think this could actually work.

Early 20s? It's a month and a half since her 20th birthday.

EarlIEST 20s.

She's practically sperm.

She's completely legal so yes, she's an adult.

So, in other words, this guy and you want comic books/strips to go back to the kind of art that they had at the start of the medium because the current realistic ones are too much for kids to look at or some such bullshit.:vulcan::rolleyes:
WTF How have you extrapolated that from me humourously posting some terrible artwork?

Of course, no one says art needs to be realistic -- far from it.
Sadly, these guys produce untrained crap rather than art.
I have no idea what Dusty's on about.

Liefeld and Turner -- realistic???? Does not compute... Does not compute...

Why should I give a crap about what some blogger feels about Rob Liefeld? If he doesn't like him or his art, he doesn't have to read any comic book Liefeld does the art in. There's plenty of art styles (in comics and animation) that the blogger or Shazam! wont like-that doesn't mean that it is bad, just different.

No, Rob Liefeld's work is objectively bad, in that it shows no comprehension of human anatomy or proper composition. Besides, you used the word "realistic" to describe the work of Liefeld and Turner, and there's no way that anyone who's ever looked at a real live human being could possibly mistake their art style for realism.

... because Kristen Stewart look so much younger than Emma Watson? :cardie:

For what it's worth, both are twenty. In fact, their birthdays are six days apart. And Kristen's older.

Though she would make a good Mary Marvel based on appearance.

Also, Liefeld sucks.

ETA: I don't know much about different artists, but I like Dale Eaglesham.

QFT.

I have sent this link to many people: http://progressiveboink.com/archive/robliefeld.html

Gah, the horror!
