What's your resolution

Captain Ice

Cookie Constructor
Admiral
Your screen resolution that is.

This evening, I chose to upgrade my 10 year old, dying 15 inch Dell CRT to something a little less archaic. You can thank a combination of a good sale at Best Buy and Antony's changes yesterday for prompting the timing of this upgrade.

This morning.....

1024 x 768 on a 15 inch screen

Tonight....

1440 x 900 on a 20 inch screen.

This monitor will support up to 1600 x 900.

I must also say that after dealing with a monitor that grew dimmer with every passing week, the difference in brightness and color is astounding. And I suddenly have a lot of space on this desk.....

Home Windows PC: 1680x1050 on a 20" screen.
MacBook Pro: 1440x900 on a 15" screen.
Work Laptop + Monitor Connected to Docking Station: 1280x1024 on a 17" screen and 1440x900 on a 14.1" screen.

1680x1050 for main machine and laptop

1280x800 for the other laptop

1024x768 on several 17" and 15" CRT's and older laptops

I sense an economic stimulus conspiracy.... :D

Leaving aside work monitors, which vary, most of my browsing is done on a 1280x800 laptop. Sometimes from a PDA phone too, though I don't exactly know what resolution that actually has.

1280x800 on my 14" laptop screen and 1440x900 on my 19' wide screen desktop. I have text size set to medium on both.

well thats nice that you could treat yourself.
:)

mine is 1024 x 768 though for certain sites i use 800 by 600.
oh with this new design when i do that with trek bbs it just shuts out the right third unless i scroll over to it.

1441x900 on 19", 1280x960 on 17" and 'Differs with content' on 17"

But resolution isn't all there is to it. I have varying zoom factors for different sites!

This computer that I use for the Internet is 1024x768. I also have a widescreen laptop, but that doesn't connect to the Internet (unless I plug it into the phone line).

1920x1080.

My computer also resolves to get more exercise, lose weight, and get a job. :bolian:
