what's your local weather?

We actually got a thunderstorm this morning. Two of the lightning bolts sounded like they must have hit somewhere in our neighborhood, and they scared the shit of me, my mom and both dogs. This is actually the second time something like that has happened, we had a lightning bolt hit the house right behind ours when I was a kid. We walked around to the house after the storm had passed and you could actually see a big burn mark on the front of the house where it had hit.

The weekend Nor'easter is finally winding down. LOTS of wind, but the total rain amount is negligible. We were rather lucky this time. We've had some nor'easter storms that were as bad as hurricanes in the past. Today, we even were able to get out of the house and run some errands.

It is officially Autumn in the northern hemisphere, but in central California it's clear skies, the high today 100F/38C, the low this morning 62F/17C. Supposed to be nearly the same for tomorrow. No frost on the punkin yet.
