Raining with wind gusts up to 60mph.
A fifty mile portion of Hwy 2 is closed between Skykomish and Leavenworth due to mudslides and portions of the road being washed out.
It's expected to take months to repair and reopen.
That leaves I-90 as the only other viable option for East-West travel in Washington, otherwise you have to detour all the way down South to Oregon and cross over the mountains there.
