That's good to hear. We had a tornado touch down here in St. Louis a few blocks from the library where I work. Always fun to be in a building with floor to ceiling glass windows when we have bad storms (or a nearby tornado). Of course we had a few patrons who wouldn't to the basement or under one of the stairwells, so I had to stay upstairs as well to keep an eye on the situation. Not the closest that I've been to a tornado - back in 2014 there was one - that like so much in this world - went right over my head one night.
 
Sigh! It was nice and sunny out today and 70F but the wind was powerful and cold and almost blew off my sun hat. I tried to wear warmer clothes but did not want to wear my winter jacket because my light one was not working. So, I went back inside.

Huntsville Alabama had quite the scare last week. The NOAA weather radio system was down, and the Hytop radar site was struck.

During all this, Storm chaser Reed Timmer took a direct hit from a sub-vortex:
