what's your local weather?

Los Angeles just experienced an estimated 5.0 (updated) magnitude earthquake. Epicenter Ojai, CA.

So much for shake and bake!

You have a massive tropical storm and now an Earthquake? Feels like God is punishing LA for something.
The quakes have happened during heatwaves and fires (hence shake & bake). A 5.0 is not really that big. I didn't feel in south Orange County as it was on the other side of the LA basin from me. I did get an alert.

It seems there was a small swarm of foreshocks yesterday in the 3 range.

Poor California, like a hurricane wasn't bad enough they had to get hit by a earthquake too.
So far all we've gotten was about 5-10 minutes of light rain while I was out on my bike ride. I called my mom when I was taking a break at a park and she said it didn't even rain back at home, which is only about 5 miles away from the park. The wind has been going up and down for the last few hours.

My brother and his family are in Murrieta. My brother’s been pushing water into the pool.
Up here… lots of smoke and my asthma is acting up.

A few quick tiny bits of rain this morning, possibly getting more this evening. When it's not been raining it's been cool and cloudy.

The heat in North Texas continues. Only one day in the next ten is supposed to drop below 100° F and five of those days are supposed to be 105° and above.
