I haven't check the thermometer lately, but we're getting to well over 100º ever day now, and we're supposed to be up to 116º by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Got through a bad storm yesterday - I was lucky, I just lost power for 24 hours - but there were a lot of tree limbs down and several large old trees in my neighborhood that were completely uprooted, along with damage to a couple of houses that I could see.
 
We hit 112º today. We are coming up on the monsoon, so once that starts we should cool down a little and hopefully get some rain.
 
The heat index reached 114 and then a HUGE storm blew in with LOTS of lightning and loud thunder. We were at lunch with my daughter and granddaughter and had to rush home just as the storm was beginning. We lost power for around 2 hours. There is still thunder rumbling.
 
Another thunderstorm. Lots and lots of thunder but the lightning isn't as crazy as last Monday, so far.

I hate hot weather. I just got back from Reno where it was in the 90s and while it's in the 80s in the Bay Area, I'm going to Las Vegas in a couple of weeks and I think the weather will be almost apocalyptic. Give me chilly and cold any day. Counting down the days to Winter.
 
Hot & Humid as hell ... Afternoon thunderstorms expected all week. Summer time in the South (*sigh* ), what are you going to do? ;)
