It’s been snowing a lot during the night. Too bad for me because I’m supposed to be out with the kids at recess twice today and it’s bound to be snowball carnage out there.

we had Foehn this morning (hot dry wind from the mountains) but the wind has changed, temperatures are falling rapidly and it looke like we'll get rain and frost this afternoon.

Forecast has Upstate SC supposedly getting whacked by a decent winter storm. Something like 8" of snow locally with 18-24" up in the NC mountains ..... Folks are already loosing their shit...

I'm planning on spending my weekend off the roads, home nice and warm with beer, munchies and my TV remote. Southern drivers who don't know how to drive in snow are my greatest fear. No need for them to run into me ... (I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. Snow fall doesn't begin to faze me until it's measured in feet!)

Chilly and rainy here in Albuquerque, but it looks as though it's clearing up. LOTS of snow in the mountains, which will be great for the ski areas and drought issues. I LOVE winter!

It's 74 F degrees out right now but very dark--we are expecting about 6 inches of rain between 6pm and 6am, so probably will have some street flooding. The high tomorrow is supposed to be only 54 F.
