Several very nice days lately. Little humidity and mostly in the 70s.
Warm but not too warm.
Sunny and a very pleasant 82 F.
Warm earlier but now cooling down and rainy.
Still sunny and pleasant.

-Trees without leaves.
-Lack of precipitation.
-Cascading flood levels.
-Scattering winds of air.
-Cut grass regrowing.
-Snow melting to liquid.
-Leaves changing color and shape.
-Leaves and branches being discarded by trees.
-Clouds colored pink, gold, purple, navy.
High 70s in the daylight hours, 50s at night.
We had hot travels all over the place for two weeks, now we are back home to rain. But that is okay, I missed the tress!

Strange tornado sound
Between hothouse and icehouse?
Researchers combed through thousands of historical documents for first-person accounts of fires occurring between 1673 and 1905 in the Midwestern tallgrass prairie. Their study is the first systematic analysis of the timing, causes and consequences of prairie fires in this part of the world. They report their findings in Natural Areas Journal.
Volcano caught in detail
In their paper published in the journal Nature Geoscience, the group describes the volcano as the largest undersea eruption ever recorded.

There is some controversy on the subject of seeking shelter from overpasses
"In our research, there is no one finding that would suggest one should or should not use an overpass for protection from a tornado as a last-resort shelter area," co-author D.M.L. Meyer said.
It's finally cool enough that I can go for a walk without sweating to death.
