Monday - Heroes (NBC - 8 p.m.)
Thursday - Bones (Fox - 8 p.m.)
Friday - Dollhouse (Fox - 9 p.m.)

Believe it or not, this is the heaviest schedule of current scripted shows I've ever had (I've also watched most of the first 5 seasons of 2 And A Half Men because I like Jon Cryer). I'm used to just having one show (if I'm lucky). And most of what I've always watched were shows in syndication.

Shows that I've watched extensively in syndication are shows like Buffy, the Vampire Slayer (damn FX for not showing it anymore), Angel: the Series (which I sometimes put on in the early morning when I'm up from the wrong side of the night--TNT reduced it to early morning purgatory--I watch that and Fox & Friends at bizarre hours of the morning), I Love Lucy (one show at 11:00 p.m. on bloody Hallmark is not enough!), I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched (I loved the old Jeannie/Bewitched 5/6 p.m. block on TVLand), Happy Days, The Addams Family, The Munsters and Family Ties.

I do have a habit of watching/listening to Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Greta van Susteren, Fox & Friends and Mike Huckabee on Fox News practically every day. Fox News is my default channel.

I also tend to watch the movie channels a lot. And if it's a really slow day, I watch the Food Network.

Of course, it being August 16 today means that it's my annual Elvis movie marathon on TCM. ...Even though I'm sitting next to a stack of Elvis DVDs that are on my desk. LOL.

Sunday
True Blood (on currently)
Dexter
Family Guy
American Dad
Degrassi TNG

Monday
Heroes
House MD

Thursday
The Office
Vampire Diaries

Friday
Dollhouse
Caprica

Maybe Heroes (On Hulu when the Volume ends)
I wouldn't count on watching Heroes all at once on Hulu. They don't generally leave the episodes up for the whole season. They cycle them in 5 or 6 week chunks. If you have a queue, I'd subscribe and keep an eye on the expiration dates.

Monday: Nothing
Tuesday: Nothing
Wednesday: South Park
Thursday: Supernatural, Fringe
Friday: Smallville, Dollhouse, Stargate Universe

Anxiously Awaiting the Return or Debut Of:
Battlestar Galactica: The Plan
Caprica
Futurama
Human Target
Hung
Lost
Rescue Me
Spectacular Spider-Man
True Blood
Wolverine & the X-Men

On My Personal Bubble:
Eureka (depends on how the next few episodes shake out)

Dropped:
Castle

Will Dearly Miss:
Battlestar Galactica
Kings

Retro-Watching:
Arrested Development
The Sopranos

With January shows, by first possible day:

Wednesdays
Better Off Ted

Fridays
The Mentalist
Burn Notice

Saturdays
Smallville

I record everything - don't view much of anything in real time. But I will record:

Monday -
Castle

Tuesday -
NCIS

NCIS Los Angeles
(although I'm still not really sold on it - because NCIS it ain't - I'll give the spinoff another shot. But if I still can't connect with it by Christmas, off it will go)

Wednesday - nothing

Thursday -
Bones

Fringe
(although the chick is starting to grate on me quite a bit, I still like Walter enough to suck it up and live with her, for the time being. But if she gets much more annoying, I'll be turning this show off)

Grey's Anatomy

Private Practice
(although if PP doesn't get better by Christmas, I'm shutting it off for good and will only hope that it fails so that Kate Walsh can go back to Grey's...where she belongs! :D )

Friday -
Stargate Universe

Saturday - nothing

Sunday -
Cold Case

**Although I also purchase Dexter and Brothers and Sisters on DVD and watch them a season behind.

In January, I will add LOST to the above schedule...and will probably have dropped one of two of the programs above that are on my own personal bubble.

Tuesday -
NCIS

NCIS Los Angeles
(although I'm still not really sold on it - because NCIS it ain't - I'll give the spinoff another shot. But if I still can't connect with it by Christmas, off it will go)
Heck, even NCIS ain't really NCIS nowadays.

I'm actually planning to give The Vampire Diaries a small try (PLEASE be better than Moonlight--which I bailed on after 4 God-awful episodes), if I remember to watch.

Oddly enough, I get more Roswell vibes from it than Buffy or Twilight ones (high school girl falling in love with a vampire aside). It might be the brunette girl writing in her diary and narrating.

This is pretty much the last chance for the CW to stop trying to survive on the WB's hand-me-downs that are starting to go past their expiration dates and actually make something on its own in the vein of what the WB did at its peak. And hopefully they'll be a lot less trigger-happy with cancellation of shows that weren't past their prime. Canceling Angel, the only show to go up in its ratings that season, to make way for a cheaper Dark Shadows remake that never got picked up was one of the last straws at the WB.

And I have completely repressed Twilight. Ye gods, that movie was FUBAR. The trailer of The Vampire Diaries has already proven that the acting is better than that horrible excuse for a vampire flick. Cripes! And I like melodrama and forbidden romance! At least it promises to not have a sparkle in sight. These are vampires, not unicorns! Twilight is like Harmony rewriting the Jossverse! I could do without the walking around in daylight that is part of The Vampire Diaries, though (yes, I'm aware that Dracula did). Moonlight straight up abused the ability to go into sunlight and it came across as a lazy shortcut for avoiding night shoots. I don't know, but there's something special about half-asleep actors doing a power shot through a Boxer Rebellion set at 2 a.m.

I watched practically all of the first season and an episode of season 2 of True Blood. It's a show I watch in the middle of the night when they do marathons of it. Definitely under my "guilty pleasure" category.

Not sure of the days-I have a DVR,

MNF, then Heroes

Grey's, Desperate, Cold Case, Flash Forward, V, Caprica, Leverage, Burn Notice, Bones, In Plain Sight, Stargate Universe, Medium, LOST, and Brave and the Bold. Gonna keep me busy, I guess.

ed.-plus Eureka, Warehouse 13 and The Survivors if BBC America runs it

Thank goodness for DVR. We very rarely watch TV shows when they air anymore.

Monday: Heroes, House

Tuesday: (nothing)

Wednesday: Glee

Thursday: Bones, Fringe

Friday: Dollhouse

Saturday: (nothing)

Sunday: The Next Iron Chef

We'll also watch Chopped Champions, but I didn't see a time listing for it.

I have the DVR set to record The Closer, Saving Grace, In Plain Sight, Royal Pains, True Blood, and 18 Kids and Counting, but I know those shows are all winding down atm.

ETA: I knew I'd forget one -- we also are watching Warehouse 13.

Humm....not sure what you mean by that exactly. The main thing I love about NCIS is the chemistry between the characters, which is at least partially the result of the amazing chemistry between the actors themselves.

In this regard, this cast is nearly perfect, IMO. I absolutely ADORE this cast. All of them. There is not a single cast member on NCIS who I'd replace...or who I even have the smallest complaint with.

And that has not changed, to my knowledge.

Now granted, we haven't seen much of the LA team yet...which is why I'm giving them until Christmas to grow on me. But the thing that makes NCIS special...and more interesting that all the other cop shows out there, is the cast/character chemistry. And like I've said before in the NCIS threads, that will be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to duplicate in a spinoff.

I wish the LA team luck...but I'm skeptical, because I just don't believe that sort of cast chemistry comes along every day.

I was referring to how the show has seemingly moved away from basic Navy- and Marine-related criminal investigation and has gotten more and more involved with espionage and intrigue. It's almost more like a CIA show now.

I almost completely agree with you about the cast and characters, except for Ziva. She's never really completely fit in, IMO, and is one of the reasons for the show's movement towards spy drama.

Agreed. I hope it goes well, I like LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell. But the glimpse we did get seemed like it was going to be even more of what the parent show has evolved into, so I'm a little skeptical, myself.

I'll give it a very cautious pinky-toe-in-the-water try. :rommie: I'm 99% certain it will be teenybopper tripe, but once in a blue moon I'm wrong about such things...
