What's up with Bakula autogrpah pricing?

The event in Vegas is in a pricey venue and they have to have security /handlers more than elsewhere. Often the people who sign alot are less usually as well. Scott Bakula has done 2 big cons --if he was appearing every weekend somewhere he would be less. Creation's events are pretty big with something for everyone often I only want one or two autographs so it is reasonable to me for my favorites.

And what the market will pay :)

I like when my favs are the big fees---shows they rule despite what the board naysayers think!

I'm sorry, you're taking the word of the market and real companies over strangers on the internet? dude. where did we lose you...?

I was lost when people here posted how sad it was Ben Browder only got offered the lead on a scifi channel show and their best actor would go on to bigger roles. To date a guestie gig on a scifi channel show ;)

Ben Browder autograph $70 Other guy $35(?)

That's no excuse for not trusting complete strangers on the internet! Did you not have internet mentors to teach you better than that? *grin*

I think the ENT portion of the TrekBBS is a lot like the Spanish Inquisition.

No one expects the Spanish Inquisition.

Oh, you know, I think the ENT portion of the TrekBBS is like the Spanish Inquisition in more ways than just "surprise and fear" (etc.).

I'm not sure what I find most disturbing, the price or the fact that he used shoulder pads. :alienblush:

You think Scott's autograph is expensive? Check this out: straight from Vegas baby!

I know people buy stuff like this, or why else would they sell it for so much, but DAMN! I adore SB but there is no way, even if I had money to burn that I would pay that much for something like that. It's just strange.
You'd be amazed.

A few years ago, someone on eBay bought one of Jolene's ghastly gray catsuits front seasons 1-2 for more than $10,000. One of Trip's uniforms went for over $9,000. I'll be shocked if Scott's doesn't sell (tho' to be frank, I'd prefer that it was going for charity).

I don't even want to imagine what someone would do with her catsuit. :vulcan:

I agree with you, I'd be insanely impressed if the money went to charity.

Considering their business practices I doubt that charity is ever a consideration for Itsawraphollywood.

Scott has such a good heart, I'd think he would want an auction like that to benefit a charity.

A lot of things that he personally owns or that he has procured are sold on ebay for various charities. In fact I own one of these articles-- an autographed CD (which I embarrassed the poor man with by asking him about the charity at the convention Q&A--- he said he donated to a lot of charities and didn't know the particular one I was referring to.)

why anybody would pay money for an actor's signature is beyond me.

I feel the same way. I am a pretty active ST collector, but autographs never did it for me. I have a few, but they really don't mean much to me.

I.e. I am not really interested in Jolene Blalock or Leonard Nimoy, but T'Pol and Spock have been interesting to me for years.
