What's some of the worst acting you've seen in the first 10 Trek movies?

The Rock

Fleet Captain

I think the biggest example is that young cadet in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (Scotty's nephew). He was pretty bad, especially when he said, "Oh, no sir! Wha... this is the finest engine room in the whole Starfleet! If the Admiral can't see the facts for himself, then, with all due respect, he's as blind as a Tiberian bat!" So, so bad.

The worst for me is Patrick Stewart's performance during the conference room scene in Nemesis.

Picard: He can't be allowed to use that weapon. All other concerns are secondary. Do you understand me?
Riker: Yes, sir.
Picard: All hands. Battle stations.

The acting in that scene is so bad, it's borderline ridiculous. My two-year old son could call for battle stations with more energy. This is a critical moment, and Picard is basically telling his people that either the Scimitar survives or they do, and Stewart delivers it with all the gusto of a bored old man telling his wife of 50 years "yes, Dear" for the ten thousandth time.

"Yeah, okay, ::yawn::, let's go to battle stations."

To be fair, that was left on the cutting room floor for the theatrical version for a reason...and I think it's the writing more than the acting. Sir Laurence Olivier couldn't have made that Tiberian bat line work.

The entirety of Star Trek III, V, every scene with Saavik #2 and Valeris, and 99% of the TNG movies. The actress who played Lily in First Contact was good.

Bad Trek acting usually falls into one of two categories, wooden or hammy. These are the ones I roll my eyes at the most:

-Cynthia Gouw in STV. "Gentlemen, I am Caithlin Dar." Stiff as a board. Todd Bryant and Spice Williams were pretty bad, too.
-Robin Curtis as Saavik. She was pretty wooden, especially following Kirstie Alley.
-Persis Khambatta in TMP. Shatner wrote in one of his books that she once needed a dozen takes of the line "No."
-"Mister Adventure" in the transporter station scene in STIII. A lot of the supporting actors in STIII are pretty melodramatic, but he's the worst of a bad lot.

I find Shatner pretty cringe inducing in TMP's "Dammit, Bones, I need you -- badly!" scene. I always MST in a shout of "How do you act in this movie?" during his pause. He's also very hammy in STV, I'm sure because he was directing himself.
