What's in YOUR Pockets?

you carry your glasses in your pocket, trekkie? I wouldn't dare that. I'd be afraid to break them. A mole has hawkeyes, compared to me...

Reading-glasses from a discount gift and nick-nack shop!

And somehow a pair of those last about a year in my 'care' -even if used every day :vulcan:

That's more mileage than any pair of sun-glasses I've ever had and carried around in protective casings!!!

Didn't realize they had Subway in Sweden. It's pretty much bottom of the barrel deli stuff here compared to a real deli with higher quality meats and fresh breads. But it's cheap, a better alternative to greasy fast food, and you know what to expect.

How do they handle the $5 footlong deal there?

€3.74 30.48 cm long isn't such a catchy jingle...

Actually kinda expensive here, but it's good enough.

Dont't think we have that jingle here, but I wouldn't know, I rarely watch regular TV.

Here it's a tiny bit of meat and tons of veggie filler on bread that gets soggy instantly. Not bad, not great, but cheap and not bad for you compared to lots of fast food.

Speaking of Swedish crossovers - we have an enormous Scandinavian festival coming to town in a month or so. Any suggestions as far as food goes? I'm expecting fermented fish, but what else?

If I go to Subway, I get their whole grain bread, and have them pile every veggie they've got on it. I do make a minor caveat with the sweet onion sauce (I love it). $5 is a deal for something like that, and I don't have the time nor availability to make a sandwich at home.

I've just come home from IKEA.

Apart from a tape-measure and a phone, this is what I found in my pockets when I got home:

(Notepad, pencil wallet, keys, lighter and glasses)

Just curious, you put your glasses in your pocket? You don't worry about it cracking or anything like that?

^ I would assume the glasses go in a SHIRT pocket, not the pants pockets, so it wouldn't get scratched or cracked.

Knives and lint.

Because I'm amazed nobody's said that yet.

But seriously, during the work day, the contents of my pockets are as follows:

- Left-front pocket: Wallet
- Right-front pocket: Cellphone & pen
- Left-rear pocket: Loose spare change
- Right-rear pocket: Car keys

Nope. I'll put my (cheap, so cheap I think of them as dispensable reading-)glasses in any not otherwise occupied trouser-pocket (I think they call the sort: "cargo shorts"... they have (at least) six pockets).
It's either that or have them hanging from the collar -which I won't do until I find wearing white tube-socks in brown leather sandals fashionable...

ETA:
Subway. It's the only sandwich-shop around here, well the only one with a bit of
consistency in quality and range anyway, I oftentimes buy my take-away lunch there (we've got two of 'em in town :p ) -But never my coffee.
