What's in YOUR Pockets?

OK, a photo, followed by a list, of what was in my bag

A bag organiser (which is spread out but folds to the shape of my bag). Presently placed in this organiser are

-My asthma inhaler
-Emergency money (presently $17 in $2 and $1 coins)
-floral card wallet (bank cards, medicare card - the wallet protects cards from being scanned)
-small fob watch (minus its chain)
-small lighter
-small notebook
-breath refresher
-chap stick
-2 pens
-an appointment card
-a Red Cross keyring is attached to the organiser with my housekey, a mini torch. My blood group is given on the back of the keyring

In other parts of my bag are the following

-My purse containing banknotes, ID card, pension card, Red Cross blood donation card, Metro bus card, some retail cards.
-small hair brush
-the book I am currently reading
-eyeglass case
-2 pamphlets I picked up today
-a small ziplock bag with bandaids, tissues, safety pins, wound wipes, panadol in it.

I've got something in my front pocket for you.
Why don't you reach down in my pocket and see what it is?
Then grab onto it, it's just for you.
Give a little squeeze and say: "How do you do?"
There's something in my front pocket...
There's something in my front pocket...
There's something in my front pocket!

Psh. I reached in there hoping for candy. It figures I'd get the shaft. :(

Nothing :) - I empty out my pockets (and my backpack) every time I come home.

If I didn't, I'd be carrying way to much useless junk around at all times :rommie:
(On that note: I (too!) once found a collection of different writing implements in my pack, I'd remember to put one in every time I left home, but forget all about it when home again... but that was from before I went digital).

My keys were in my pockets just before. Normally when I'm out, it's generally my mobile phone, keys, wallet and ipod.

I am startled by the apparent lack of contraceptives in the ladies' and gentledudes' pockets.
:wtf:
That and feminine hygiene products would be TMI

Also:

  • Some people think it's irresponsible to conduct ourselves in a manner to require contraceptives unless you are really confident the other person is healthy and will participate in the potential consequences. The products you refer to are not 100% effective for either contraception or STD prevention. While many religions promote such ethics, they also reflect consideration for the welfare of ourselves, partners and especially any children our activity might produce.
  • The packaging many contraceptives come in are inadequate for more than short term carrying in such circumstances.

Yeah! Foolish women and carrying around necessary hygiene products and letting us know about it! Pshaw! They should keep their silly vagina troubles to themselves.
General discution of such topics doesn't bother me, but the specifics of what brands an particular individual uses and/or when they feel it's necessary to keep them close at hand is awfully personal.

Yeah, not seeing it. But I'm not bothered by what personal products people carry on them. Hey! When I go to work I carry with me a generic brand of Xanex just in case I get stressed out and need a quick calm-me-down. Is that too personal?

Quite a difference between a medication most people wouldn't mind your applying at the office water fountain and products that people would need to apply in the privacy of a bathroom or bedroom.

Diabetes and allergies could result in the rapid onset of a crisis that classmates or coworkers could respond to. Knowing about emergency supplies like sweets, a glucose meter or Ep-ipen could save someone's life. Many other problems develop into a crisis gradually enough for the patient to contact professionals or family on their own.

What I keep in The Big Blue Bag:

Keys
Feminine hygiene products (always have an emergency stash!)
Hand lotion
Make up bag (Chapstick, brush, lipstick, powder, etc)
Coupons
Phone
Wallet
Pen
Change
I also have sunglasses or glasses, but I wear those more often than carry them.

You're disturbed by the idea that a woman keeps tampons/pads/menstrual cups close at hand? Not having them certainly results in a crisis of its own right.

It's no more personal than tissues.

50% baby, 50%.
