What's in the Pandorica? Your opinion

Candlelight

I haven't been following spoilers so I have no idea.

I think it's either:

- Omega's Tardis
- An "evil" universe
- Another giant eyeball

I can't take credit for this theory but I like it a lot: I think the Pandorica is empty. Instead, it's intended as a prison for The Doctor.

"There was a goblin. Or a trickster, or a warrior. A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. Nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it -- one day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world."

I think The Doctor is talking about himself here.

^ I actually like that idea myself...I was going to say though that I think it's either the Valeyard's prison or Omega.

THAT makes a lot of sense.

Wow, from that image it looks like a TARDIS inside, maybe the box is bigger on the inside?

I'm all for Emh's theory here. Especially considering one of the things I noticed in the end sot of the preview.... that I hope I wasn't alone in seeing. Unless I made it up in my head...

I already said this in the other thread: I think the Doctor is in the Pandorica.

Yep - that all seems to make the most sense. I guess we'll find out in a couple of weeks...

This would raise the question of who would want the doctor out of the way.

For attempting to make bow-ties cool, the Doctor is sentenced to life in prison by the intergalactic fashion police.

Everyone would want the Doctor out of the way. Meddlesome busy body going around ruining the plans of millions of sentient beings. There would be peace and order in the galaxy if not for the Doctor and his chaos.

I have to agree with you here I don't think there's anything in the Pandorica.

Everything we've been told so far says that the Pandorica is built to hold the most feared being in the universe. No one has said that it contains the most feared being in the universe.

The Pandorica opens not to release the most feared being in the universe but so that they can be imprisoned within it.

At the end of the day I can completely understand The Doctor's enemies putting there differences aside and decided to rid themselves of their real enemy, that nameless, terrible thing that had so often dropped out of the sky and torn down their worlds.

Quick question about the trailer: Does the Doctor say "The Pandorica" or "A Pandorica"?

If there is someone or something in it: I'm going to say either the Valeyard or the 1st Doctor.

As for it being a prison for the current Doctor, I can see it. But it'd be a let down, seeing as we know 11 will get out some how. Maybe his escape is what cracks the universe.

You know what, the Doctor is too obvious to be the ultimate nasty that the Pandorica was built to hold.

I wonder if it could be meant to be Amy. But the monsters don't realize that cos they all know the Doctor and assume it's him.

Or... what if it's the TARDIS (which does, after all create the cracks that are fucking everywhere up) and again the monsters just think that because the Doctor's there he must be the one...

It's only obvious to us, the people who have been following the spoilers. I figure that if I had only watched the episodes, seen the next time trailers and the odd magazine article like most viewers I wouldn't suspect that the Pandorica was built to hold The Doctor. In fact all the officially released information about it has been quite careful to give the impression that when the Pandorica opens it will release some nameless, terrible thing without explicitly saying so.

The Doctor was already the twist bad guy in Amy's Choice, so doing it twice in the same season is kind of cheap. Unless the bring back the dreamlord too, I guess...

I like the idea it's a prison as well as it's one for Amy - why the cracks in the universe exist and why the TARDIS landed in her yard in the first place. (The Doctor already has a God complex, completely deserved of course. ;) )
