I think of him often: a witty, acerbic and curmudgeonly figure who used to, at the height of DS9/VOY/ENT, post how everything since TOS and the first movie was utter tripe and a sign that Roddenberry had a diseased mind in later years (he later tightened further and excluded TOS's last season's - the "Turd" season, as he called it).
He did this much to the irritation of most who loved those shows, but bless him - he'd merrily wander into the TNG, DS9 and ENT forums to cheerfully observe how pointless they were.
Aside from being memorable, my own perspective has shifted over the 20 years since his heyday. Now, I find that I can't stand Discovery, have grave misgivings on Lower Decks and feel ambivalent towards Picard. I fear we've come full circle! Je suis Mr. Stinky Pants.
