What you DON'T want to see in Star Trek 3

Spot is not to be trifled with. Spot will mess you up.

And then turn into an iguana and mess you up some more.

Spot is a personification of the long standing feligyny in Star Trek, which culminated with the mutilation of Caitians in Into Darkness.

Be kinda neat if the movie started with the Doomsday Device taking out a fleet of Borg Cubes somewhere far away, then suddenly slip into a transwarp conduit one of the Cubes was forming before being destroyed and end up popping out the other end at whats left of Vulcan or on the outskirts of the Andorian System...

Think of a Fleet of Andorian ships trying to take it out and having the Enterprise show up just in time to help out.

As for the OP...

I don't want to see Chekov in Engineering anymore.

Don't want to see: another gigantic badguy ship.
It's time for a fleet vs. fleet battle. It's not asking too much.

Speaking of things I don't want to see:

“Hey, what are you doing in there?”
“Sir, I think I might have found a way to counteract the virus...”
“Hold on, kid, which year were you born? You don't look old enough to even be in here.”
“Well, technically sir, I am not even born yet. I am acting ensign Wesley Crusher, pleased to meet you.”

I don't want to see any all encompassing 50th anniversary "celebration." There's no need for it, and it will ultimately overtake the film's plot.

I was glad they didn't do anything like that for Bond. It was nice to see EON learned its lesson with Die Another Day.

At best, maybe have an old Kirk appearance. If Shat can't make it, then maybe just toss in a few minutes of egghead wizards with a spider vein problem.
