What would your Walk-On Music be?

Watching the darts this month, I'm reminded that each match is usually preceded by the lengthy introductions to the players as they enter the arena, in the style of a boxing match at times, almost always accompanied by a blast of music to get the crowd and the player pumped up.

Now, in the recent Masters snooker tournament, they are doing the same thing for probably the very first time, and it was a little odd to see Jimmy White, Peter Ebdon and Ding Junhui walking out to the likes of Dire Straits, Survivor, etc. (the link works only for UK viewers... but this next link is worth it for Mark King's entrance alone :guffaw:)

But it got me thinking. If you were about to take part in a big sporting contest (be it boxing, wrestling, er, darts), and were being introduced by MCs such as Michael Buffer, what would you choose as the music to blare out of the speakers as you stepped into the arena and among the adoring fans?
 
My theme is "The 59th Street Bridge Song," which probably would not be very effective at cowing opponents in an aggressive contest. It might lull them into a false sense of security, though. :rommie:

Well, "Is This The Way To Amarillo" worked for Amir Khan before he turned professional. :bolian:


My walk-on theme would still be "The Fallen" by Franz Ferdinand - although recently I have toyed with the idea of the next track on that album, "Do You Want To" but then remembered that it's a song about looking for casual sex at parties. :guffaw:
 
The album version of Yes - Siberian Khatru. The riff at the beginning is all kinds of badass. Can't the album version on YouTube (the live versions are always really slow or not as tight as on the album), so you'll just have to take my word for it.

It's the sort of sport you'd play it for that intrigues me.... ;)



(as it happens I'm listening to a copy of the Bolero right now - every time someone mentions it here, I have this reflex-like Pavlovian urge to whip it out and play it...)
 
Walk-on music always makes me think of baseball when a batter comes to the plate or a closer enters the game.

Mine would be: Babylon, by The Tea Party!
 
Being a wrestler I've found that music has been the hardest part of the whole routine. I don't know why, but I can never settle and constantly change my mind.

I've used 'Halo' by Soil when I've felt powerful, 'What I've always wanted' by Kittie when I feel creepy, the monologue music from Fight Club quite regularly and I'm not using 'Burn' by the Luchagors and there have been many variations inbetween including a rather bizarre choice of Joss Stone's 'Whatever happened to the heroes." (I've got the entrance video here - just doesn't suit me whatsoever)

Though Halo has been my personal best, I'd still use it if it wasn't such a popular choice. It has just the right amount of energy and gives a great adrenaline rush.

Though when I wrestle as David Lee, I can't get into character without using a track from School of Rock, Fight I think it's called. It's the opening credits track... it's the only song that can get me in the right mood for that gimmick.
 
Me? Participating in ANY kind of sport, game or anything that required physical coordination?

My entrance music would probably sound a lot like THIS.
