I doubt I would be much use on Voyager .... probably too focused on what potentially could go wrong

Other than that, I'd probably be in some job that involves analysing sensor and astrometric data and destilling recommendations based on that.

Voyager was to early for me
Voyager left in 2371, I was only a 1st Year Cadet in 2379.
However, if I had been a bit older, and Voyager was my first assignment, I probably would have ended up on Flight Control or Tactical.
Had I survived the pull in to the Delta Quadrant, and lasted long enough, I suppose I could have doubled up in Astrometrics (I needed Science credits at the Academy lol). But I'm only about as much of a Science Officer as Lt.Paris was a Medical Officer lol.

You'd get trashed by the Dominion, arrive between episodes where the wormhole was collapsed and start home the long way from there.

This is my area as well... science officer but I could also act as nurse and/or curator of various animalia.
