What would have liked to have seen happen on Lost?

Over the last few seasons there have been many times when things could have gone differently. Is there anything you would have liked to seen happen that didn't?

I'll start.

-I would have loved it if Locke had slowly recruited more Losties to "follow" him like Boone did. A whole group of hunting and survival nuts, getting shape and embracing life on the island. A mini cult/army of Locke followers who would of course ended up at odds with the rest of the survivors. Then of course the two groups would have to team up against the Others.

-or, in the same vain, I would have liked to seen jack and Ann-Lucia form their "army" for a war against the others.

I was always a firm believer that Locke was going to start recruiting his side of the camp much earlier. When it finally happened it was a long time coming... but I think his role of leader of the Others came an unexpected shock and is more pleasing than anything I could have come up with.

I think the main disappointment with the show has been the whole Eko/Charlie thing. That went nowhere and did nothing fast. I think there was a lot of lost potential there with the church. Charlie should have spent the season continuing to build it in his memory.

I can usually write a 500 word essay on this topic without any effort at all for any show I watch, but Lost is one of two shows (the other being Dexter) where I can honestly say, I don't want to tell the writers what to do, because I couldn't come up with anything better than they have, and they're very good at surprising me in a positive way, not in the usual throw-my-TV-out-the-window way.

However, I really hope that Danielle isn't really dead or at the very least, we get a flashback episode with her story from 15 years ago.

And it would be interesting to see Boone come back.

Danielle... I forgot about that one. I was really very mad at the whole Danielle/Karl/Alex thing. They better redeem themselves with a flashback to end all flashbacks with these characters.

And Boone, Eko, and Ana-Lucia all need to come back for at least one more episode before the show is over!

Both of those actors are in high demand, and that's why you don't see them in the background a lot. And Rose & Bernard are hardly ever together when you do see them nowadays.

The Church of Charlie and Eko is at the top of my list...that storyline went absolutely nowhere after season 2. Charlie's disdain for Locke disappeared after "Further Instructions" which always annoyed me, too. I also wish they were able to do more gradual hair style changes rather than instant and obvious new looks between seasons, but I concede that might be pretty difficult to do. :D

Aside from untimely deaths (Rosseau being the worst offender)...

Jack and Ana-Lucia were training the losties into an army. What the hell happened with that? Would've been nice to have seen them militarized and competent in survival skills.

I always thought Sayid should have been made the leader. Unlike Jack and Locke, he's cool competent and rational, with any kind of skill you could need. Military. Interrogation. Electronics. Field medic. Sailing.

And finally, I'm still pissed we don't know what the Others call themselves or call the Island. Surely there's a proper noun for them! For that matter, why hasn't Juliet by this point in time told Jack every single thing she knows about the Others?

I have to agree about the whole Eko/Charlie church thing. It would have een great to have seen a different angle to the whole 'Faith' issue from Season 2.

Another thing that saddened me was the death of Ana Lucia. She was such a great character, hard and bitter at times, but she was always looking out for her people.

Regarding a reappearance, remember that Mr Eko was one of three character in The Hatch when Desmond turned the failsafe key. Something freaky happened there, so Eko may turn up where we least expect it....

Sawyer and Charlie plot to steal the guns in the very next episode, which pretty much put an end to that.
