Gday. First Im just letting ya'll know i am a new convert to trekkers haha. Only been into star trek for around one and a half years. I have now seen almost 26 seasons of the show, including all of TNG. just wondering what would some of your favourite episodes.

For me, would have to be either the Last episode of the series which had me on the edge of my seat and up past 2am in the morning (even though I had work the next day), or who could forget when Jean Luc Picard became Borg. that was amazing.

Any thoughts?

It's not exactly an original answer, but The Inner Light (the one where Picard lives a lifetime in his mind as someone else) is probably my favourite.

Q Who, A Matter of Honor, Measure of a Man - I like season 2, lol.

I am starting to like the non-favorite TNG episodes because I am DVRing it like a boss, too.

when data had a daughter it was sad. I almost cried :( and the episode with Picard in his mind was also weird. Tell you what was the worst episode though, and that is the First one. With q. That was boring......

All of the Holodeck ones are also really good, especially the gangsta one, stupid holocharacters walked out haha.

I have several:

- The best of both worlds - arguably the best ever Trek episode, period.
- Sins of the Father
- Booby Trap
- Family
- Darmok
- Chain of Command - Sir Patrick Stewart killed the torture scenes, and is by a country mile the best actor in the show, nay all of Trek period.
- The Defector
- The Wounded
- Cause and Effect
- Parallels
- Q Who
- Heart of Glory
- The Inner Light
- Tapestry

Since I've recently seen it, I'll vote for Sarek, though I've found that I like the weirder episodes of the series (such as Phantasms) the most upon rewatch.

Alright, here is my top five list:

I. The Inner Light
II. The Best of Both Worlds Part I
III. The Best of Both Worlds Part II
IV. Family
V. The First Duty

The Inner Light is my absolute favorite because of it's dramatic, bittersweet qualities. It really reaches into my heart and soul, somehow, like no other episode can. Family comes pretty close to this effect, but I feel that the two-part episode The Best of Both Worlds is one I like a bit more. This two-part episode certainly contains the best use of action in Star Trek: The Next Generation, in my opinion. The First Duty though, is also a great episode. It's probably one of the best "courtroom drama" episodes in the series, and the best one featuring Wesley Crusher, himself an unpopular character, although I can tolerate his presence in the show usually.
