What would a Ronald D. Moore nuBuck Rodgers be like? Speculate away:)

Based on RDM's ST & nuBSG works, how do you envision Buck Rodgers under RDM's executive production?

How'd you think Wilma, Twiki, Hawk, Admiral Asimov, New Chicago, the Explorer, etc et al, would be re-imagined?

Taking a guess of my own on how RDM might reimagine nuBR:

* Wilma - would be Wilhelm, a burly bearded star pilot. Bangs heads with Buck over women & decisions.

* Twiki - a sexy very hot voluptuous female between 20 & 25 years old, but she's in reality a well-built advanced android. Has romantic interactions & attentions for both Buck & Wilhelm.

* Admiral Asimov - Middle-aged woman, desendant of Isaac. Intendant of Earth's space fleet.

* Hawk - member of a previously unknown hidden colony of expatriate "humans" whose ancestors successfully spliced human & avian DNA. Hawk, like others of his nu"human" species, can actually really fly.

* New Chicago - Major Earth metropolis. May even be Earth's capital city

Reminiscent of Coruscant, Cloud City & "Blade Runner"'s LA, among other Scif-Iconic cities.

* Explorer - interstellar space cruiser. Reminiscent of ST,SW, & B5 ships. Also, reminiscent of the Sulaco from ALIENS a little.

* I'm pooped. Maybe more later

I wanted to start a topic like this! Looking forward to more.

I'm busy thinking of my own interpretation of Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon. Too bad we got such a lackluster Flash. Time is ripe for a new Buck Rogers though.

I like the above suggestions and think you're going down the right track. I wondered about making Buck a female lead (despite the fact a 'Buck' is typically male).

Buck would've nailed both Ardala and Wilma in the pilot. And since 25th century sex is boring and stale, Buck would become the ultimate stud.
