What will you be dressing yourself up as for Halloween?

They let us dress up for work yesterday and I dressed up as Abby Sciuto off NCIS. Didn't have quite enough hair for the pigtails so I chose another hair style of hers.

Our company hosts an annual employee Halloween costume contest. After two years of placing second, I took first place this year. I've wanted to do a retro robot for years, as well as trying some kind of full-body puppet, and this gave me an opportunity to do both:

At my friends' party: Shaggy (with a very small stuffed Scooby-Doo). And my wife wore a box that was decked out as the Mystery Machine!

At work: Red Five. Hand-crafted helmet, straps, and breathing apparatus. Store-bought lightsaber.

Same '70s mop for both outfits, though my hair's not quite long enough to do it right.

You do know at first glance I just saw the pictures and wondered how you fit into the costume?

I didn’t do any Halloween stuff this year but last year I went as Persona 5 MC.

If I had a party this year I would have definitely been Jon Targaryen.

Two years ago I was Axe Luigi. That’s, Luigi with the Axe power up.

Ha, thanks. That was the plan. :p

A coworker also sent me a video of the costume in action:

Wow. Ambition at its finest. I was being fussy about wearing a wig.

Nowhere nearly as elaborate as Gepard's (I'd love to see a "green screen" process sequence!), nor as alluring as TribbleFeeder's, but here's you go, gang!

Please forgive the obscuring circle, but I'm not that comfortable revealing my face online. The company for whom I work could give me grief about it.
You look great!!

Did people know who you were? I find that this is the doctor most people associated with Dr. Who.

A few did. Of course, I didn't "interview" the 500+ employees crowding the hotel "ballroom" to get an accurate tally. ;) What seemed to impress people was the fact it was me. (I never understood why so many employees seem to know me. I'm not management or anything.) Usually, somebody saw me from the back and wondered who was the oddball with the Harpo Marx hair. When I'd turn around, they'd pull a "double take", recognizing me.
