Why limit it to categories? More could be done by seeing beyond the pigeonholes. For example, one of my favourite novels of the last few years was a poirot-style murder mystery combining quantum-leap body swapping and a Groundhog Day scenario. The lead character would be repeating the day until the murder was solved, and each day would be embodying a different person, letting them live the different angles and gain information he had enough to solve the murder.

Eldritch horror, espionage, science fiction, and workplace humour as depicted in Charles Stross's Laundry Files series. Could involve travel to horror dimensions as well as other universes and worlds via secret portals. Marvels' Agents of Shield sort of did it a bit but it could be dialled up to 11.

Space travel, but not dealing with an official "space navy" exploration agency, instead focusing on a small ragtag group of travelers making their way through the universe, perhaps hitching rides on the space lanes or something. There could also be some time travel that takes them to some kind of, I dunno, restaurant or something, located somewhere like the end of the universe.

That's why I appreciated the Canadian show Being Erica so much. It was so refreshingly different from anything on the air. The creators at one point wanted to do an American version, but it never went anywhere. You have a special psychologist (and a very quotable one at that) with the power to grant the titular character to go back in time to relive their life decisions/regrets on any given day, to see how different decisions would have affected their outcomes. As the show progressed, you learn that the psychologist is only one of many, that there is in fact a whole cadre with similar powers. By the time the series ends, Erica has graduated to becoming one of them herself.

CGI's finally progressed to the point that it would be possible to do a decent adaptation of Arthur C. Clarke's Rama books. I've been fascinated by that concept for a long time.

It would be nice to have a series where the cast explores a megastructure. Like a Dyson sphere or a ringworld. Something thousands of times (or more) larger than Earth would provide numerous storytelling possibilities without going into space at all.
