The new lorca rip off in season 3 of picard, is proof to me that executives realized how stupid it was to make him a mirror universe character.Lorca dying.

Really? Seems like only leads and important characters know about them.Exactly, for a super secret organisation that operates in the shadows everyone and their dog seems to know about them.
Not to mention a number of Admirals at headquarters, the head of the Tal Shiar, and who knows how many others across the fleet (if not the quadrant) are aware of them.Really? Seems like only leads and important characters know about them.
Yup. Plausible deniability and compartmented information. That's their MO and then shift the deck and leave no trace. Not to mention a number of Admirals at headquarters, the head of the Tal Shiar, and who knows how many others across the fleet (if not the quadrant) are aware of them.
But they have left a trace, the entire senior staff of DS9 knows and they're all reputable sources, they've also uncovered the corruption goes high up into the Starfleet ranks. Rather than destroy the station during the war and claim it was a Dominion attack Sloane funnels who knows how much extra resources into recruiting Bashir. That's just sloppy.Yup. Works for me, at least as far as shadow organizations go.
Ok...? And? You want them to destroy the heroes? Cool, I can get behind this. But they have left a trace, the entire senior staff of DS9 knows and they're all reputable sources, they've also uncovered the corruption goes high up into the Starfleet ranks. It wasn't even threatened, surely Sloane would know that for someone like Bashir threatening his friends and chosen family would see him agreeing to work for S31 to keep them safe, at least until he can find a way to expose the organisation.Ok...? Again, are you wanting heroes to die? Because that would make DS9 way different than Trek before. It wasn't even threatened, surely Sloane would know that for someone like Bashir threatening his friends and chosen family would see him agreeing to work for S31 to keep them safe, at least until he can find a way to expose the organisation.
DS9 was made during the time when cast member deaths were the result of contract disputes and not just killing off a main character every season for the *drama*.
