And the Arm-chair general strikes again......
Oh please, most treaties signed by the big boys we've signed aswell. Hell, we pretty much wrote the book on Human Rights and what can and can't be conducted in a war zone. If it was ever known that a British sanctioned hit squad took out a head of state, the repercussions which could be leveled against us is something I'm not willing to even think about.
We'd no doubt be regarded as a rouge state, we'd be tossed out of Europe (a very bad thing), we'd be tossed out of NATO (again, a very bad thing), we'd be tossed off the Security Council (yet again, a bad thing) and have massive trade embargoes against us. And do you want to know which country I reckon will be pushing for most of that? The United States of America, followed by Russia and then China.
the US may have sanctions against assassinating foreign leaders but the UK may not. let the SBS or the SRR do it.

But where does it end General? I mean sure, take out Assad, then what, do we take out Putin because he rigged the Russian election a few months ago, do the Germans have the right to assassinate the Greek, Irish or Spanish leaders because of the Euro Crisis? Hell, does the EC then have the right to put a bullet to the head of Cameron? He wasn't actually elected in 2010 and he's been a complete wanker towards his own people and Europe. So tell me, where does it end General?we should take out dictators any where and every where they show up. make it a losing propostion. you start that shit and next thing you know, you're lying on the floor with a 7.62mm hole between your eyes. see who decides to be a dictator then.
It's a very skewed version of right and wrong then General. Two wrongs don't make a right and taking out Assad won't make things suddenly all better.and that's not being an arm chair general and playing too much COD, that's being someone who believes in right and wrong and that bombing the shit out of your own people and torturing people and 'disappearing' people is wrong and should be punished with the heavy end of the hammer.
This I agree on.maybe 'we' shouldn't be the world's policeman, but considering the UN's got as many teeth as a fucking chicken and is about as much use as a fucking inflatable dartboard, someone ought to do it.
