What should change about the possible new Star Trek Experience?

i have been chatting to some of the actors on facebook that were at the original experience, they dont know whats going on either. the good thing is all said they would return. we must remember though that the original took nearly 30months to set up. now most of the exhibits have been sold off they would have to start from stratch again. so i think we will be looking at 2012 maybe even 2013. but if joshi has a licence to 2018 then that will only give him 5 or 6 years. i am still concerned over the neonopolis location, i have been in there and its a ghost town, even if STTE:A went in most of it would still be empty. personally i think they need a new project manager to go in and grab it by the balls and just get it done. vegas is well known for its quick project turnaround so lets see it being done here!!
Neonopolis is a disaster. STTE, if it ever returns, should stay far away from there. I was hoping that it might find its way to the City Center, but that is doubtful. As a regular Vegas goer, I have to say that I think we have seen the last of STTE - especially if Neonopolis is the only place it is being projected for.
And therein lies the problem. Joshi IS the project manager and is well known in Vegas for being a foot-dragger. He has apparently even had run-ins with the mayor over the Neonopolis site. I have to wonder, is Neonopolis a ghost town because of the location or because Joshi couldn't manage a hotdog cart much less a downtown Vegas mall. (Need more evidence, look at how the original STTE structures and fixtures were stored. On the cheap and in horrible condition) I am doubtful that with him in charge, we'll be seeing STTE-A anytime soon.

Joshi has had several run-ins with Mayor Goodman, like you said over the Neonopolis site. He also fired the manager of the fine art museum in the mall and the mayor got involved. He has also been fined by people before for some of his actions. Why dont we all band together and canvass CBS/Paramount to get it sorted? ST:TE attracted over 100,000,000 million visitors over its 10 year period, thats 10 million per year. Say each head spends on average $50, thats 500,000,000 gross turnover p/a (on average). Sure the running costs are gonna be huge but I cant see the experience NOT being profitable. Going by the Neonopolis Ghost town status I would have thought Joshi would be doing everything to get it up and running just to earn a pay check!!!!

^^^Preaching to the choir, my friend. The unfortunate thing is that none of us has the individual financial clout to make big enough waves. If the Mayor can't get him to get off his butt, what can we do. And I'm sure TPTB at CBS are grumbling to their lawyers by now (I would).

Given the nation's financial woes, and Vegas' in particular, there's not a lot of investment money out there. It appears that the only people with a vested interest in this are the licensing folks at CBS. At this point, they'd have to make the big gamble to put up some money to get it done. Sadly, that's not how corporate America works.

Anybody have a source on the Warp Core Breach glasses still, or any of the glassware used in the Experience? I'm also trying to find the character 8x10s sold in the gift shop. These NEVER show up anywhere (ebay, etc.) and I wonder if the actors or some fan(s) has them or something. :-/ I only got to go once, the final convention year it was open, fell in love with the place, and have regretted every single day not buying those.

If they set it up again, in any location, I hope the Klingon Encounter remains largely unchanged. That whole thing just worked so well, particularly the way it starts out as just a regular motion simulator ride and then suddenly comes up with a plausible in-story reason for why you've been actually transported to the 24th century. It really feels like you've just suddenly been dropped into the middle of a Next Generation episode.
The Borg Invasion never worked quite as well for me because they didn't have a particularly good reason for why you're in the 24th century. You just are. Once the Borg Invasion opened, I think it seriously detracted from the realism of the Klingon Encounter.
I'd like to see them replace the Borg Invasion with something related to the new films. Strike soon and they might even be able to give some major screentime to A-listers like Kirk & Spock. (Focusing so much on Commander Riker, Geordi LaForge, & the Doctor, it often felt like the old Experience was resorting to the 2nd string.)
Quark's could be improved if it wasn't so damn expensive and they expanded the menu. Wasn't it $18 for a hamburger or something rediculous like that? And not even an especially good hamburger.
