Frankly, I found the idea that a tribble would dislike a Klingon silly. Given their lifestyle, I don't see why they would react violently to a Klingon.

Yeah I aways found that strange myself...they just hate Klingons?![]()
Hey! The Klingons started it!
And besides why should the tribbles like Klingons? Huh?
My list:
Romulans
Jem Hadar
Cardassians
Ferengi
Borg
Xindi Reptilians (not because they have anything against them, but because they might mistake tribbles for rodents).
Why the Romulans? The Tribbles liked the Vulcans.

The Romulans might look like the Vulcans, but Spock made it clear in Balance of Terror that they were warlike and clearly Tribbles like friendly species. Why the Romulans? The Tribbles liked the Vulcans.

Is it possible that Klingons smell or feel (according to some other sense) like a predator on their homeworld?
I don't think Tribbles are smart enough to judge who is nice and who is a warlord. I think it's about biology, not friendliness, so even with small differences between the Vulcans and the Romulans I don't think a Tribble would care or notice.

I'd go with a special sense. I thought about the smell but that Klingon imposing as a Human probably didn't smell like most Klingons at the time.
