What other 80s Cartoons would make decent live action movies?

I'm too lazy to look. Has anyone said "Battle of the Planets" yet"

The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers!
Only if you get Joss Whedon on it.

No, but I was going to. Does that count?

no fucking way. Galaxy Rangers is FAR more awesome than fucking Firefly. for one it's got Aliens, for another, it's got robo horses and for a third it's got ray guns.

As much as I don't want to agree, I agree with captcalhoun. The Galaxy Rangers is unique in its own way, and it is not Firefly. First off, these guys are law officers, not crooks; secondly, they're not in an undemocratic society; third, they're fighting evil that's a lot nasty and old fashioned than that of Blue Sun Corporation or Parliament. Those qualities alone set it apart from Firefly in every sense. If at anything, it would have to be like your typical Western, which is where it got it's theme from, only more literally.

As for me, I want to see:

  1. Sabre Rider & The Star Sherrifs
  2. Voltron
  3. JEM
  4. Starzinger (Spacekateers)
  5. Kim Possible
  6. Max Steel
  7. C.O.P.S.

Thundercats, of course. Just look at this!

thats...amazing.

lol at Garfield Snarf.

I love how the fan who made that trailer 'cast' Cheetara by simply lifting Gigi Edgley scenes right out of Farscape without even adding any 'makeup' like he did for Brad Pitt (from Troy), Vin Diesel (probably Pitch Black) and Hugh Jackman (don't know what Hugh's scenes were from). :D

And yeah, Garfield as Snarf is  ...

A Thundarr movie would be EPIC!!!!!!! Imagine a movie that combines the best elements of Star Wars, LOTR, and Mad Max!! and "Lord's of Light!!!!!!" and "Demon Dogs!" are great catch phrases!

Quite a few of my choices have already been posted more than once, so I'll nominate Bionic Six. If it can be done with an even mix of action, drama, humor, and genuine warmth among the family members, it could be a good adventure flick, IMO...

Oh man, I forgot about that show. Used to love it back in the day. Got the intro stuck in my head now

Of course I have to give Terrahawks and Ulysses 31 and Jayce and the Wheel Warriors

On a side note: Gotta love those campy 80s toon-opening songs

How about Disney's Gargoyles? It'd take some extensive use of prosthetics and/or CGI, but I think it's certainly do-able, and would be awesome to see.
