What operating systems do you use daily?

Windows XP netbook and work computer :techman:

Windows Vista on laptop.

My son's netbook is Windows 7 starter and it blows.

I put Windows 7 on my netbook, which I thought would end up being a bad idea, but I love it. Just have a tiny issue trying to do anything other than surf the net when I am downloading at high speeds.

At home, OS 10.5 on two machines and win 7.

At work, XP and citrix (or something, I don't really know much about the last one - is citrix even an OS?).

Citrix Metaframe lets you run business applications from home. You can access your work email and use work apps from home through the access point.

Nowadays I use Snow Leopard and occasionally Ubuntu. Before, I used Solaris, Fedora and HP-UX.

win 2000... I dislike the newer operating systems. This OS strikes a balance for me.

I'm looking forward to the ReactOS project being completed, and if it does what it promises, I hope to migrate to that in the future. :)

Leopard at work on an iMac.
Leopard at home on an iMac and a netbook.
XP for browser testing running virtualised on the iMacs.

Mac OS X 10.5.6 on my iMac
Mac OS X 10.4.11 on my G4 Quicksilver
They sit side by side on my L-shaped "Command Center" and both use my 40" Samsung LCD HDTV as a second monitor (works great for Netflix instant view).

...I was struck by lightning.

Seriously?

Because, I actually have been. September 24, 2001 at 7:24pm. Permanently recorded into my memory. Hard to forget something like that.

The main computer I use has WinXP SP3 installed. I'll be sorry to see it go when I eventually purchase a new computer, because as it stands; IMO is has a fantastic blend between compatibility, stability and is still supported for modern software and hardware.

I've upgraded to a new laptop with Win7 Ultimate, I run XP sp3 in VM.

At clients it's everything from Win 2K server and up.

Windows XP mostly. I may actually get to upgrade to Windows 7 in the future but not sure when that will be.
