What next for Joss Whedon?

Now that "Justice League" as bombed I am sure he will take some of the blame though Singer will most likely get the brunt of it. I guess this ends the Batgirl movie so what do you think he should or will do next? They guy is still brilliant so I don't think Hollywood is going to put him out to pasture, just yet.

I would like him to use this time to bring back "Firefly." Fox has said before they would be open to it if he wanted though I wonder if that possibility changes now that Fox is owned by Disney. I saw something on "Walt Culture" about how in season 2 of "Firefly" they were going to have Malcolm Reynolds meeting a very old Spike, connecting the two universe's together. That alone would be fun to see.

Also I think he should do another musical. Also could he maybe do something "Star Wars" related in the future? I would love to see him also do a spoof of something. I don't we have ever seen him flat out do a "Airplane" type of movie or show.

I doubt Joss takes that much blame for the performance of a movie he didn't even get to shoot. I'll believe he's off Batgirl when it's officially announced.

And, honestly, I loved Firefly a lot, but I don't think it's coming back again. Too many stars would have to align to do it properly and it's really never proven itself at the box office/in the ratings.

Spike from Buffy/Angel was gonna be in Firefly season 2? Can't say I've heard that one before. I find it highly dubious information.

I used to love his work, and still do to be fair. But by the time of Age of Ultron I was getting kinda tired of his schtick. The "jokes" near the start of that movie like the "please be a secret door, please be a secret door, yay!" and that random henchmen yelling out "no it wasn't" were so OTT 'Whedonisms' they were just too glaring for me.
Also wasn't there a fair amount of controversy relatively recently about him after his wife, Kai Cole, left him and posted a blog about how he'd cheated on her in the past (more than once, I can't quite remember) and how therefore he wasn't this big feminist he makes out to be or something. It was a while ago I read about it so can't remember exactly, I never saw it discussed on here though. But the fansite Whedonesque which I always went to for Joss related news, actually closed down as they felt they didn't feel comfortable supporting the guy any more.

I haven't heard anything about him not doing Batgirl, and on top of that he's still "Executive Producing" the Buffy and Angel comics, he's been overseeing occasional post movie Serenity comics, and he's also co-writing a Buffy Season 11 spin-off comic miniseries focused on the now teenage Giles going to an LA high school as part of an investigation.

After reading his ex-wife's letter, and Whedon apparently still not all too apologetic about it, I'm really not interested in what is next from him.

Yeah, agreed. A series with no aliens is going to have vampires in it? It sure doesn't pass the smell test.

It could have worked. The video mentioned that Spike would have been very old. I could see them making it like Spike is the last vampire alive. They basically died out when Earth died but Spike still survived. Of course the way it was mentioned this wouldn't have been a big part of the show. It would basically have been a cameo. Just enough to get people thinking but not enough to a point where people could start to expect demons and vampires all of sudden being a big thing on the show.
