What 'movies' did they like the most?

Little three legged cat with attitude

Prehistoric man enjoyed a primitive version of cinema, according to Austrian and British researchers.
Rock engravings from the Copper Age found all over Europe in remote, hidden locations indicate the artwork was more than mere images, researchers from Cambridge University and Sankt Poelten's University of Applied Sciences in Austria say.
"The cliff engravings ... in our opinion are not just pictures but are part of an audiovisual performance," Frederick Baker of Cambridge University's Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology said in a statement.
"There was still no moving image but (the pictures) created sequences like in animation ... This was not just a treat for the eyes but also for the ears, as these rock engravings are especially found in locations with particular echoes.
"In this sense, the rock engravings are not just static images but pictures that created a story in the mind of the viewer - just like at the cinema," said Mr Baker.

I hoping that people here can come up with some good, possible titles for these early "movies".

Wouldn't that be "Naughty Cavewives"?

Good point. Although with caves potentially housing many or extended familial groups, you lose the other title's connotation of the multiple wives of one husband getting frisky with each other whilst their man is out clubbing something to death, sacrificing the allure of forbidden love for mere debauchery. :(

Edited to say
Someone's post disappeared.

Not fast enough.

Not quite on-topic, but:

"In a development that surprised no one, it was discovered that the cave paintings had a higher frame rate than Star Trek: The Animated Series."

I know it's not a movie but I couldn't resist.

Full Cave

oh and one more...

Cave

Back to the movies....

Animal Cave

Kok vs Kok

CroMagnoniana Jones; The Lost Rock

Sea Wars

Shaman of Ork

Cave Alone

"2000 B. Something"

Ah, movies about the future! ;)

Exactly! SciFi!

Like "Voyage to another Continent"

ETA:
  • Canoe! - a spoof of the canoe disaster cave drawings. When the crew of a canoe are struck by some kind of disease, the fate of the passengers depend on an ex-war canoeist who is the only one able to beach the canoe safely!
  • Addicted to Rocks - A documentary about how the modern consumers find themselves unable to live without rocks and how the world seems to become littered with used rocks. The part about how long it takes for rocks to degrade and how many animals hurt themselves trying to eat rocks is considered especially gripping.

And of course:
  • It Came from Beyond the Sea
  • Pangea Quest
  • Continent of the Homo Sapiens
  • Voyage to the Continent of Historic Women

And not forgetting:
  • Things to Come
  • Bride of the Gorilla (this one takes on a whole new meaning in this context I'd say.)
