Yeah, we all complain about great movies that get remade into not so great movies, so how about the other way around? What movies do you think could be turned into something great if given a modern redo?
One I'd like to see is a remake of John Wayne's The Quiet Man. As it stands it's nearly a classic as is, but I think it suffers from a few things. From a technical standpoint, I was always taken out of the narrative by the bad studio sets used for many of the out doors scenes.
While I liked Wayne in the role I would also like to see someone with a little more range tackle it.
Besides, who wouldn't want to see a new version of the big brawl (homaged in the Clint Eastwood film Any Which Way You Can)in the film?
